I LOVE THE NAME. It's a perfect name for a baby born any time around Christmas ... and you are a good 'mom' for thinking this name up.

My daughter was born four days after Christmas and, personally, I am not a fan of naming a child because of the time of year that they were born - just imagine if you gave birth on October 31st; would you consider a Hall'oween derived name??!!
Coincidentally, my maiden name is Winter and because I didn't want to fully give up my surname when I got married, I incorporated it as my middle name. I agreed with my husband that any children we had, regardless of the time of year that they were born, would also have the middle name of Winter - it's a family thing.
It's just pure coincidence that my daughter was born at Christmas! Had she been born on the hottest day of the summer, she still would have had the middle name of Winter!
So yes, I am biased. Winter's good - for a middle name - but I would perhaps steer clear of Peace; as someone else said earlier, 'Winter Peace' is a wish, not a name! Try to think of other names that have meaning for *you* - there are several million out there to choose from!
It's your baby and your choice. I wish you all the very best!
(The next thing you will have to deal with is a child who has a birthday that co-incides with Christmas week! Take a tip - have a small celebration that is distinct from the Christmas festivities and then earmark a day 6 months later, on a lovely sunny day, and have an 'unofficial half-year birthday!' My daughter *loves* this and the unofficial birthday makes up for everyone being partied out at Christmas!)

There are so many unique names out there today. People are making up names and changing one or letters in a current name to make it a new one. So your going to call her Winter and her middle name be Peace?
Well, there is Summer, I have a friend named Summer...I think Winter is a pretty name, no one is really going to use her middle name all the time anyways so really they would just be saying "Winter are you ready for your speech?" I think it's beautiful. And I promise I won't steal it from you, your daughter will have a one of a kind name, and that's cool.
Plus, when people ask her where she got it she has a perfect reason why, "I'm a Christmas baby."

Maybe not as just the first name. Maybe Miracle or Grace or Hope or December and she could go by Dezi or just Winter by itself. I have a friend whose name is Winter. Maybe her first name could be Winter and her middle name could be Peace. It's up to you, you're the mom. Good Luck! ~remember what you choose for a name will affect her entire 4 years of high school and/or possibly middle school. It could save or ruin her social life. No pressure. :) But I'm glad you have a Christmas baby coming.Merry Christmas!

Well personally, it's a little too different for my taste in names but I can see why you would consider it when your baby is due at such a special time.. and the name Winter Peace does have a calming effect.. but I would try a more traditional name like Noelle or Holly.. you know? Good luck with everything and I know you'll think of the perfect name.. this might be it.. who am I to judge?.. Congrats!

Yikes!!! I can only imagine the difficulty poor Winter Peace will have trying to get a reputable job someday. If you want a lovely name that celebrates the spirit of the season, yet is actuall a real name, here are some suggestions:
Joy
Noelle
Holly
Neve (Latin for snow, also Neve Campell's name)
To be honest, I loathe Christmas-based names for babies born around Christmas. It's like, why don't you just name the poor kid Figgy Pudding and get it over with??

Not liking winter.
Peace is different.
Maybe winter or peace for a middle name and something a little more average for the first name.

No.
I'd either give her the first name winter with a normal middle name or give her a normal first name and keep peace as the middle, but not the winter peace.

That child would not get as much respect as a Sarah or a Christine at work. Imagine- a 30 year old woman named Winter. It just doesn't work. If you're looking for names similar to Peace, try Faith, Grace, Hope...all respectable names.

I once met a girl named Winter-May. I think that's a beautiful name. And maybe instead of Peace, you could use Hope, Faith, or Destiny. Just a suggestion. Congrats on the new baby!

Okay, Winter is adorable. Very cute. And why not? They have an Autumn... and a Summer.
I'd really rethink Peace. It's just way too much.
Winter Abigail
Winter Isabelle
Winter Sable
Winter Aubrey
Hope I helped!
