I ended up in the hospital bc I was having back pain. It turned out I was having contractions at 25 weeks but when they checked my cervix it was long and thick. Then I saw my doctor a week or so later and my cervix was already 50% effaced but not dilating yet. I was put on a modified bedrest and now am at 32.5 weeks. Does anyone know how likely it is for me to deliver early? any similar situations?

Doctors used to advise getting an episiotomy to avoid tearing, as they used to say tearing was worse...

But now I'm hearing that it's best to tear, because when you tear, it's only skin, but when they cut they sever muscles, nerves, everything.

While healing time might be longer, and it might be more painful to tear, supposedly if you tear, you are less likely to have incontinence problems later like you would with an episiotomy...

Any opinions?

Then the spotting stopped on8-15. Today 8-17, boobs arent as sore ...but still sensitive to touch. I have been feeling like AF is on her way but I dont see her yet. I still hve like 2 days before her arrival . I"m too nervous to get test right waway cause I alays get my hopes up only to be shattered with a BFN....

Ok, my last period was July 21. I don't chart or temp but I have clear cervical mucus during ovulation. The mucus showed up on Aug. 4th. Hubby and I had sex during this time. My next period is due Aug.18th. I usually have brown spotting a few days before I have any "flow". So far, I haven't seen anything except once on Aug. 12th and that was on tp after I wiped. Pinkish/brown and then nothing.

Here are my symptoms:

Pain in my sides and a tugging/stretching feeling in abdomen. It's been uncomfortable to lay on my sides at night.
Almost threw up a few times during meals.
Breasts feel fuller and heavier. Nipples have been a little sore and there is pain in the sides of them.
Gassy
Very hungry
Tired and sleepy
Yellowish discharge (never had that while waiting for AF)

My periods are usually pretty regular and w/o many pms symptoms. Normally it's just acne and horrible migraine.

Has anyone else had this? If so, were you actually pregnant?

I did 2 rounds of clomid and I did not ovulate and my dr. wants me to do FSH injections. I have only ever researched clomid so I don't know much about it. Next Tuesday I have a meeting with the educator about how to give myself the injections and I also have a consult with my dr. So until then, what can you tell me about FSH with IUI?

Do parents suppose to or can help their adult child out in their only 20's who is going to school or just starting out in the world? Helping out meaning with money, let kid stay with them, or just boot them out with no help? Also, should kids take care of their parents. My mother said in her day grown children would give and take care of their parents, I'm in my 20's just starting out and don't have much but feel I should give to her maybe if I was rich and older but now?

Ladies, I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can (if I am able) when my baby arrives in 8 weeks. Can you advise me what I need. I am thinking just 2 bottles, a breast pump and a sterilser for when I want to express. Any advice on breastfeeding in general would also be appreciated thanks.

My daughter went to school with a boy named Riley, so of course i consider it a boy name.

But a relative is having a girl & is thinking of naming her Riley.

Is this a name you want for your little girl?

Just wanting other opinions!

Thanks!

I am a mother of 4 boys. All but one of them has been a joy to raise. My 17 month old has a problem. It started when he was young. He started biting his toys and other people when he got mad. Then he started picthing fits when he didn't get his way. Falling down in the floor crying, kicking, screaming, and hitting. My other children behave very well, so I don't know where he's getting it from. I have tried everything from spanking him to ignoring him. He "demands" thaqt I hold him all of the time. If I take him to a babysitter, he screams the whole time I'm gone. Whether it be 1 hour or 4! I love my son, but I'm outta ideas. Can anyone help???

My daughter is six and I let her watch a little television between homework and supper. Sometimes, well my sister says so, that when she babysits my daughter my sister will let her watch MTv and VH1. Usually she watches some Disney Channel and Nick. I don't like shows that sarcastic or swear. Does anyone have any ideas on what she should watch and how long? I don't want her wanting to watch tv more than read like my little sister.

My husband and I have a 3 month old baby girl. Everytime we plan something and casually mention it to our parents, they automatically assume they will get to watch the baby. This has become a problem because then we have to pick.

We've talked to all of them about the situation and they were understanding. But it's still the same! We are going out of town for one night next weekend and we chose my in-laws to watch her. Well of course my mom assumed she was going to watch her... when I told her my in-laws were keeping her she got an attitude with me! (which she does on the regular now). I almost don't want to talk to her anymore. She's been like this ever since I moved out 2 years ago!

Any Suggestions? Can anyone relate?

'Hsu' is my last name. because i'm an Asian and already got a complex name for middle name, so I might use just "Shelle Hsu". also Shelle sounds like my Asian original name. before I really use it as my English name, I think I need more from your opinions. thanks!!

do you like the name 'Shelle' as a first name?
what comes to your mind when you see/hear it?
do you think 'Jeshelle' is better?
