My daughter went to school with a boy named Riley, so of course i consider it a boy name.

But a relative is having a girl & is thinking of naming her Riley.

Is this a name you want for your little girl?

Just wanting other opinions!

Thanks!

i think spelling it differently would make a big difference!!!
i consider it a boys name but i think if u spelt it like "rilee" its more of a girls name!
u should give them that idea, then her name would be unique 2!!!

We had a girl cat Riley, and also my brother went to school with a girl Riley. When I was younger, I cheerleaded with a girl Riley.
But our friend has a little boy named Riley. I think it sounds nice as both. But I would probably prefer it for a girl.
Hope I helped! ♥♥

I have a good friend named Riley, and he's a guy. I don't know any female Rileys, but it's not a bad name for a girl either. I guess it can go either way.

Riley can be boy or girl. I knew a little girl named Riley, so that is usually what I think of when I hear the name.

I just got a little girl puppy and named her Riley, I thought it was only a girls name, never met any boy with the name Riley, it sounds better for a girl i think, just my opinion =)

I think 'Riley' should only be used for a boy. It just doesn't sound right for a girl. Too many trends are developing where people take a boy name and use it for a girl. Stupid if you ask me!

Yep...there's a dog on our street named Riley. He's a boy. We also have a family on the street named Riley. No relation.

Well, my friends husband's name is Riley and when she got pregnant , he had to go off to war, so she named the little girl Riley Morgan, so if he doesn't come back she will call her Riley but when he does she will call her Morgan. She knows the girl might get confuse but now she calls her Riley Morgan all together.

I think it's a boy name. I don't think I've known any girl named Riley.

I'd never name my girl that.
