If you have a 5 or 6-year old child, what time will you be getting them to bed on school nights? Just curious because I'm trying to come up with a reasonable time this year... last year I had him staying up waaay to late...

I guess its either to screen (opportunistic) for breast Ca, or to establish if nipples are ok - if the mum decides to breastfeed??? It just seems strange that they do it - any1 know the real reason why?

I have been doing squats a lot recently, I am 38 weeks and dilated to a three and just today I feel almost like there is something sagging into my vagina (sorry tmi) I have been crampy for the last 24 hours bad back pain and I lost my mucus plug. Can I expect labor soon or could it still be weeks away?? If you are a nurse, doctor, or midwife please say so.

my doctor told me that i can basically pic my due date beacuse im 38 weeks and a day and when im 39 i can pick it and my due date isnt until the 14th but i think i wanna have her on the 7 im not sure about gettin induced beacuse i herd it hurts alot and idk i just want my baby girl out...any suggestions.

Kind of like the goblin who steals the "other" sock...i swear my sons cups disappear at an alarming rate! Does he have a hidden stash that one day i will discover and stumble upon 200 sippy cups? I swear everytime i do dishes there is at least one missing, and i have searched my house, asked him, and they are just gone...anyone else have this trouble or should i call ghostbusters??

My daughter is in a big kid bed with a bedrail. She needs me to give her milk and then put her to bed. I have to lay there as she twirls my hair until she passes out. it is ridiculous. i have tried simply sitting at the foot of the bed, but she pitches a holy fit that is unimaginable. She wanders into my bed at night and I never even know she is there. Do you think a gate at her door would help? Look, I need some real advice not some mean answers, so please moms help me. This is my first child and naming him has been more difficult than I thought. I'm a Jr and thought about naming him a III, but the name Noah stuck out to me early on so I've decided on that first name. I'm having a little more difficulty choosing a middle name, so I'm looking for your impression of a middle name I've come up with and some other suggestions:

I looked at some other people's similar questions, but none were similar situations. I will give you as much detail as I can.

I am 25, my husband is 24. My husband and I have been married 14 months, but together for 8 years. I am finished with college and currently teach first grade. My husband has a great job with a large corporation (I will keep the name for privacy reasons). We currently own our own home. We have just a little credit card debt (less than 5k...we bought new furniture and it isn't all paid off yet). We collectively make around 100K a year and live in the midwest, where the average is much, much less. Average is about 35K. We both have health insurance.

My question is ...when is the right time to have a baby? I have had baby fever lately. My husband and I talk about it a lot, but we just aren't sure if we are ready. I mean, can we afford to make sure our baby has what it needs? Daycare, etc? How did you know you were ready?

I am 5 weeks, 5 days pregnant. I found out I was pregnant the day I missed my period, so I've known for 2 weeks, 1 day. This is my first pregnancy and my husband and I are very excited that we want to tell everyone. Right now I've told family, a few friends, and a few co-workers. He has told people at his work and his family. I've heard about people waiting until 8-12 weeks to tell others because of the dangers during first trimester...and I understand that and worry about it too. BUT, I really want to tell more people because I am excited about it and am tired of keeping it a secret. I have a couple friends who told the moment they found out and they say what the heck just do it when you're ready, but I also know people who waited and tell me to wait. Am I ok to tell others now? I just really want people to know because I want to share my excitement.

i have this friend who lives in texas and i live in minnesota. well anyway i found out that she is having a baby shower. i had asked her why didnt i get a invintation and she said its because she knew i could not make it becuse we are long distance she also said its because she dosent want me to feel like i have to send a gift. what should i do. im so mad at her for not inviting me

Hello.

I'm 17 year old. I’m 5 weeks pregnant and have decided to keep the baby because it's only fair to give my child a chance to live in life. I know I will be a wonderful mother, but I have not told my Parents I am pregnant yet. Because I know they will be
greatly disappointed at me. And that makes me feel like I have failed them.

But my biggest fear is not completing high school. In September I will be in my last year of high school "Grade 12". And all I need is 8 more credits to graduate. My 1st plan was to wear baggie clothes to hide the pregnancy. But then again I know I'm kidding myself because as time goes by my belly will become bigger and will be more visible to see plus I have a very small body. I’m trying not to give up on myself just because I'm having a child.

I want to show all those dumb Teen pregnancy Statistics
that any teenage mother can achieve great things in life once they put their mind to it.

Right now I just feel Sad, Alone and confused. As the father of my child doesn’t take anytime too talk to me. Because he say’s “I stress him out on the Topic”

I am 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant. My doc scheduled a well-being and growth ultrasound which was today, and my doc said that i will find out the sex today as well. Well, the tech who did the ultrasoud says that the sex is 95% boy, she would not confirm 100%. we think we saw the "boy parts" four times, but again, not a 100 %. My question is, has anyone ever recieved a 100% before 20 weeks? or at an early ultrasound do you hear this percentage of accuracy, and if you were told that the tech was not 100 % sure, did they end up being right? i do not know if i will have another ultrasound, (my first pregnancy) and im just curious what anyone else has experienced in this situaltion. i am happy no matter what sex, i just wanna go buy baby stuff!!! lol :)

hi ladies, lam 39 weeks pregnant and woke up this morning with cramps its not really pain full it comes every few minutes, is this a sign of labor what can l do to fasten the contraction, really cant wait to have my baby, and have you noticed that your tummy got smaller by now when l look at my tummy l tell myself that my baby would be really small as lam not big at all but my midwife says everything seems fine, my baby position is really wierd my tummy is very long Not round like my first pregnancy,thanks.

I told them I was not going to buy white bread anymore so they needed to get used to the type I am buying now, because when school starts that's what they're lunches will be made with. I got the expected, attitude and ughhh and yuck - felt like saying then fine, starve! I didn't, what do you think I should do? I don't want them throwing their lunches away and not eating................any suggestions on a decent bread kids will eat? They are in jr/sr high.
