My son is 5 weeks old. He is strictly breastfed. And it'a working well from the beginning. I feed him whenever he wants fed. But, recently it seems like when he's awake he is CONSTANTLY hungry. While awake he'll lay and look around and be content but literally within 15 minutes he's fussing to be fed. I can use the pacifier and that's worked well but it only satisfies him so long. So, then I feed him on a boob for 15 minutes. When he seems fine and refuses to open his mouth I burp him and he acts like he's not hungry. Then, while still awake from before he gets fussy within another 15 minutes. Ok, then I give him the other boob for another 15 minutes and this continues pretty much all day for his awake time. I know he doesn't have a poopy or peed up diaper and I gave him gas drops to ensure he wasn't fussing over a hurt tummy. Other than that, I can understand why it always seems like he wants to feed....what am I doing wrong? I know I have milk.

Force their kids to smoke a whole bunch of cigarettes if they find out they're smoking. Wouldn't that just make it worse? I don't smoke those cancer-on-a-sticks so my parents will never punish me that way I'm just wondering why some parents would do that. If my kids smoked I'd just take all their death sticks and throw them away and talk to them about how smoking is VERY bad for their health.

I feel the exact opposite. I'm taking a driver's ed class right now and those videos they're showing are scaring me to death! I don't wanna drive. what if a drunk driver just like comes out of no where one day and freaking kills me???? =[

With my first son (now 9 mo.) I formula feed him, I am now having a second (due in sept) even with wic I still don't like that me and my husband could aford formula for both my 9 mo. old I have to buy 2 of the larger cans a month more than what wic gives him.

I know breast feeding is a better choice health and money wise but I don't know if I will be comfertable with doing so? Also I don't know if I could even breast feed my mom never could she tried with me but she could not make enough so the doctor told her to just use formula? Have any advise for me?

Hi , My 18 month old daughter has just found an interest in crayons and colors everything in sight :-). She colors on paper if I seat her on my computer table. So I was wondering where can i get table/chairs her size so that she can sit on them while i work at the *big* table :-). The ones I found are either for older kids or very expensive.
Thanks!

I found out i am pregnant last night (which wasn't planned, but my husband and i weren't very careful) - anyway, we have a a son who is one year and 10 months old. I always felt that i should have another baby, but not yet. Only when my son was 3 or 4 years old. What do i do? My husband says i shouldn't have an abortion, which is also against my religion. We are financially stable, we have a home, we're settled. I don't know, but i sort of weirdly, feel like i wont have enough love for this baby coming. I feel like all my love is for my first son, and that by having another one, im taking my attention off my son. Is it un motherly of me to feel like i'll love my first son way more then this one, because it wasn't planned?

My 13 month old daughter will not eat ANYTHING except Alphaghetti and her morning Heinz cereal. She won't eat baby food, she won't eat people food. The only thing I can get her to eat more than 2 mouthfuls of is Alphaghetti and I really don't want her to eat that for lunch and dinner every day.

She'll take her whole milk just fine, but that can't be filling her up! I'm afraid she's hungry all the time.

Is there a food out there that ALL babies like? What can I feed her that she will eat?? I've tried everything...other pastas to sandwiches to hot dogs to those Gerber TV dinners.... I don't know what else to do!

I spoke to my son's (2 1/2 yo) pediatrician about him having flat feet. She said it was normal and that these days doctors don't do anything. To now worry about it, that he should be fine. Supposedly she said that even makes them better when it comes to playing sports. I'm not comfortable with her response, and would like opinions or suggestions. Has anyone gone through this? What did you do?
I remember having flat feet when I was small, but I remember my parents made me wear orthopedic shoes to fix the problem.
Any GOOD help would be greatly appreciated. I don't need criticisms or unwanted mean and rude comments.
Thanks!

My son is almost eight. His bio dad and I haven't been together since he was in utero, really. I am married - we have a daughter together. My husband is a loving, involved father to my son - he doesn't differentiate between his bio child and his step child (AT ALL). Great, right?
Well, my son's bio dad is a mess. We've maintained a fairly friendly "relationship" with him over the years, but he's been sliding into the bottle for years, and his life is a wreck. He hasn't seen our son in months, (only sees him if we bring our son to his business (restaurant-long hours)...he says that he has no time off, and when he does he's too depressed to see our son. Absentee dad...
Except he's not totally absent. Every couple of months, he'll call to talk to our son, and it leaves the kid devastated because he doesn't see his dad....he calls to hear how much he's loved and missed, but it HURTS the kid. How do I tell him (nicely) to put up or stop calling? Heart-to-hearts haven't worked so far...

I just want some opinions on the names my husband and I have narrowed down for our child. For a girl we like either Scarlett Christine Epps or Christina Lilly Epps. For a boy, Wyatt David Epps or David Henry Epps, III (P.S. I like Wyatt best, but my husband is giddy about the idea of a son named after him). Of course we'll choose the name we like best, a vote doesn't really matter, but I am curious about the opinions out there. Thanks!

Apart from being gobby, rude and lazy, she can be (but only when she wants to be) extremely thoughtful and helpful - for which she is rewarded - usually with a little something new to wear or a couple of pounds. But then she goes and spoils it by becoming a brat again. If i tell her off she is suddenly 'only joking'. She's been grounded, had her pocket money stopped, and been given lots of jobs to do as punishments etc... I sometimes think that i am overreacting because her dad doesnt notice her attitude half the time and just laughs at it. On the positive side, when she wants to help, she really goes to town and will, for example, blitz the whole house or make dinner for everyone without being asked etc. I've never had any attitude like this from my teenage sons. Is this my punishment for the way i behaved for my mother as a teenager? (For which i am now truly sorry by the way)
