Last year I moved in with my partner who has four children. These kids are complete slobs. I know children make messes, don't get me wrong. But, these kids just don't care if they live in filth. My partner's house wasn't the cleanest when I moved in and cleanliness has never been pushed in the household. I am such a neat freak and I feel like I am constantly down their backs! I've tried chore charts, constant reminding, rewards, etc. but it is hard to keep up with that when there is 4 of them. They have gotten somewhat better over time, but I really feel like they have been raised this way for years and years and the "damage" has already been done. Any suggestions?

She's 2 months old and is not colicky. She can go days at a time without throwing up, but then on occasion will vomit an entire bottle right after a feeding. We have her on Similac Organic. She is never fussy...not even before or after she throws up. And it's not just spit up, it's projectile!

so i had sex june 15 threw 19th . i wanted to know if these were my ovulation days most fertile days or what are they if there not . i statred to get a creamy build up on the 14th and i has stopped now but my period was from
may 4 till may 9th
june 4th till june 8th


so what are my chances of being prego now

So i have been dilated to 2cm for the past 4 weeks! No changes at all! What i am wondering is--did this happen to anyone else and then you suddenly went into labor? I went to the doctor today, still no change. I lost mucus plug last night but have been having bloody show for the past 3 weeks!
So just because i have not progressed at all doesnt mean that i couldnt go into labor any day now, right?? Please tell me your experience!!

My friend had a baby 3 days ago. She weighed 5.13 at birth. She has been breastfeeding a lot but lost 10 oz at her weigh-in last night. She is worried about nipple confusion so is hesitant using formula. They are using the tube on the breast to suppliment. Does anyone think there could be a problem?
She was full term. And got a 9 on the birth test. They are keeping them at the hospital another day. What are the dr's looking for so that she can go home? Is this cause for alarm?

It actually means a lot to me to name my first daughter Marilyn after my mothers older sister who died before I was born, but I can't think of a shortened nickname for Marilyn Marie so I have thought of using a different middle name, can you suggest a different middle name for Marilyn or a nickname for Marilyn Marie?

My boyfriend wants us to name out kid Sephiroth. I'm not sure if i should or not, hes not the type to communicate and come up with an agreement and i like the name Wyatt and he said if it my son cant be names Sephiroth then hell have nothing to do with his baby. My son is 5 months old and he is my entire world. But the days go by so slow. I feel very unfulfilled. Often times I wish I had more adult interaction, and could drive to work in the morning jamming to my favorite music, and enjoy an hour lunch break in peace. Do any other SAHM's feel this way? Do you think it would be selfish of me to work, since we can afford for me to stay home? I'm sure the guilt would eat me up.

Ok this friend of mine is divorced and has 2 sons. They are much younger than both of my children. I know that she needs help with them for a few days and has asked me to keep them. The problem is #1, her children have destroyed several of my older sons expensive toys. She does not know it and if she did, she could not replace them. #2, she thinks her sons would just have a blast with my son even through he is a teenager and they are 4th and 1st grade. She does not want to spend time with them because they are so destructive. #3, I now have a pool and I don't want that liablility without her being here to watch her own children. Frankly I do not work full time so that I can stay with my own children and watch them without that worry of who will keep them. It is only by grace and God's blessing I am able to do that and I feel badly that is not her situation but still I don't want to keep them. Also there is no pay involved. What would you do?

My 13 year old's good friend and classmate since kindergarten committed suicide 2 days ago.My son is so devastated he hardly talks,and at times just weeps and weeps.I hug him and tell him that I am here whenever he needs to talk.I am at a loss what to do.He just played baseball with this 14 year old friend the day before he hung himself,and he seemed fine,according to my son.That night,the boy's girlfriend broke up with him...and in the wee hours of the following morning,he decided life was not worth living.Please help me--I am at a loss as to how to help my son.Thank you.

I have a six year old son who is mildly autistic. He looks like a completely normal child, but his behavior in public causes people to stare, and in some cases, try to dicipline him (or me). I am tired of people shushing him (we never take him anywhere nice, restaurant or otherwise) or telling me that I am doing something wrong. The advice almost never applies and is usually delivered in a very self-righteous manner.

Does anyone else have a similar situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

my son is 4 months old and has been taking rice cereal in his bottle for 2 months (per his doctor) for his reflux. Today I gave him a couple bites of rice cereal from a spoon and he did well with it. How many times a day do I give him rice cereal from a spoon and usually how much are you supposed to start off giving? Also at what point would I start to introduce other foods like applesauce as I know that you do them one at a time. Thanks for any advice as I'm a first time mom.
