Have any of you had parents who allowed your boy or girl friend spend th enight with you while you were under 18. My daughter's mother and I spent my nights together after she was born (we were 13 when she was born). Since I moved out on my own when I was 16 I have had many girls stay with me (but nothing ever really happened as sex was rare for me). I am now engaged to my 17 year old girlfriend who I live with (I am also 17). Anyway has anyone else had parents who allowed boy or girl friend to stay over.

I am 8 days past ovulation (we had intercourse 3 days before). My breasts are sore, and that doesn't usually happen before I get my period. The weird thing is that I have a near-constant sharp ache right on top of my pubic bone, again, not a normal PMS symptom. I took an Equate pregnancy test today that came out negative. I figure it's still too early to get an accurate result.

No pregnancy website is mentioning this weird pubic pain. Does it sound familiar to anyone?

Should I keep them out somehow or as long as they don't go in when baby is in, is that ok?

I took the test (urination test) and was negative. I was just wondering if something I drank or anything else could have affected this test. Or if their tests are very reliable...?

If you were a guy in the 7th grade, what do you look for in a girl? Do you like a girl with good morals or a more "frisky" kind of girl, I guess you would describe it. Do you like a kind of girlfriend that will make out with you or the kind of girlfriend that wants to wait until marriage to even make out? Do you even want a girlfriend for who they are or just to be cool? What if the girl wasn't very pretty, but wasn't ugly either, and wasn't very popular, but wasn't nerdy either. Not that I would change myself for a guy, but I was just wondering.

I remember last year in the tenth grade, I put so much time and dedication into my AP Art History class. I read and took notes and read my notes, so I was actually reading it three times and it took me a while to read everything. I would pull an all-nighter the night before to finish up on reading and was so focus that even with lack of sleep, I didn't feel tired and did well on my tests. When my others teachers gave me an assignment, I did not see it as a burden. I just did it without thought, and I always ended up doing a very good job. However, the last half of this school year feels like a burden. I just want it to end. When I get an assignment, I do it but I'm just not putting my best effort anymore. This mades me feel stupid. It feels like I can no longer think as sharply as I could a year ago, especially when it comes to writing english essay. Where did my motivation go? What should I do?

I live with my boyfriend, we have been together 3 and a half years, he is 27, i am 21. i want a baby but he all the time trying to convince me the time isnt right for us, he says we should wait until we have a house bought which we are hoping to do within a year.. He says he is really looking forward to being a parent with me but we are not ready yet...
i know we will both make fantastic parents, we both have good jobs and the ball is already on buying a house. we both have lots of experience of kids from our families and i have qualifications in childcare..
its not like we would miss nights out or anything because he doesnt drink, and we love nights in more.
i think here shouldnt be a problem with trying to get pregnant now because we will more than handle it.
i would never do it the sneaky way of pretending to be on the pill or break a condom, but how can i convince him now is the time?

My husband and I only have animal kids so I'm very excited about this baby of whom I feel like an aunt to, but I'm very inexperienced, I don't even think I've held a baby in the last 10 years!
Please throw out any helpful tips you may have. My friend is breast-feeding and has a breast pump, they have 2 boston terriers, going to use Pampers swaddlers, if that prompts anything..

Okay, so I've been asking what it means when the cervix is soft since my wife's doctor told her that at her last appointment. Well, we got intimate, and while I was inside her, it felt like something was grabbing the tip of me. Now, we haven't since then because I'm afraid I might hurt her. This has NEVER happened before, so it has me worried. She's not dilated is she? What was that?

first i am not trying to start anythiing or p anyone off but i really have a few q and want to know what you all think.. i am always hearing how hard stay at home moms work and how much they do ect why is it that you think you do so much more then the moms who work? not being nasty i truely want to know what it is. because the way i see it is that working moms not only have to be on a schedule all the time and be at work for hrs each day but then they come home and get to do all the same work that stay at home moms did all day. once again im not trying to be mean or put anyone down i just really cant figure it out so maybe if you could clue me in i will learn something that i didnt know or maybe look at stay at home moms differently ect...and any working moms do you feel like stay at home moms get more credit then you do?

ok my body is confusing me
my last period i was 3 days late.
i'm on yaz but missed a couple of pills before and after the last period.
instead of spotting for a day or so or just restarting my period like i usually do when i mess up pills, i had light bleeding (my periods are heavy, always, it wasn't an early period), heavy enough at times to need a tampon, light and brown at times so i hardly noticed. this lasted for about a week. this was the week after i ovulated. i was cramping slightly also.
spotting stopped the week of expected period.
took a pregnancy test the morning i expected my period.
i think i may have... (gross) overfilled it...maybe not angled it correctly. anyway it turned out negative.
started my period that day. extremely releived.
however,
i have notoriously heavy painful disgusting periods.
for 2 days it has been so light i barely need a pantyliner.

my body is confusing me.
does anyone think that perhaps i am pregnant and i should take another test?

that was easily brought down by meds, but some idiot on here got her panties in a bunch because I wasn;t rushing her off to the doctor. Just made me curious how many people on here take their kids in when they have nothing but a simple fever along with signs of a bad cold? Had the fever not gone down, that would be a different story, but as parents how may of you just kind of know when they have to go and when they don't? This may apply more to people who have had more than one child as i know your a bit more worried with the first, your instincts seem to grow as you have more.

We have a printout from our physicians office telling us when and what signs to look for in a fever to know when to bring a child in or not. She obviously was not needing to be seen or I would have taken her in, just as I know that all doctors are different and many have different ideas about care.

Anyways....do you rush your child to the doctor for a fever and cold symptoms.

I've heard that alot of people have had false negative hpts, but come to find out they are really pregnant. How common are they? How many months were you until you got a positive?

I am eight months pregnant and I will be getting induced a week before my due date. This is due to the fact that I am having a big baby. I've been getting some bad feedback about this. Mostly along the lines of the birthing process being a lot more strenous, harder and painful.

My 3 month old girl, Annika, screams hysterically throughout all of her diaper changes. This has only just occured in the last week. I've tried putting her play gym of toys on the change table to keep her occupied, but that doesn't take her mind of it. I've tried talking to her and smiling with her, but she's just not interested. The minute I pick her up again, she's fine, and couldn't be happier. What's going on, and is there something I can do to fix it, or is it a grin and put up with it situation?

I heard that some people have funny tastes in their mouths when they are pregnant. So I was just wondering what are some of the tastes because I have been having funny tastes in my mouth and I don't know if I am pregnant or not? Or what else can this be?

*Please read the question carefully*

Assume you have only one single choice. When raising your kids and he/she does something bad (assume he/she is 6 - 10 years old) would you prefer to:

A) Give them a long lecture on explaining why the things they did were bad or,

B) Let them learn from their mistakes and hopefully they won't repeat the next time.
