I took the test (urination test) and was negative. I was just wondering if something I drank or anything else could have affected this test. Or if their tests are very reliable...?

I just worry a lot. My period came roughly around the right time but it was shorter than usual. I've been having to urinate a lot and got a yeast infection. I know I'm probably not pregnant ... but, the fact that I had unprotected sex is still bothering me. I don't know if this last thing means anything but my lower stomach feeels a little bigger/strange. Lol, I need to stop stressing > _ <

Even pregnancy test at clinics can have false negatives. In a urine test, sometimes a woman has very low amounts of hcg in their urine. Your best bet would be to go to the doctors office and have them administer a blood test. Because, the blood test detects hcg in your blood, hcg levels are more concentrated and give you a positive result better. They can be to some extent because doctors clinics (a urine test) because they are more likely to do it correctly, but it is a urine test all the same. Hope this helps. If you think you are pregnant please go to the dr to have the blood test.

Their tests are just as reliable as the at-home pregnancy tests and the urine tests a doctor might give. You could have a false-negative if you tested too early (you need to test when you are at least 14 days pregnant) or if you happen to be someone who doesn't have a lot of HCG. If your period is late then test again in a week, use the first morning's urine, it has the strongest concentration of HCG. If you are not late yet, wait until your period should have come. If you have been late for more than a month, call a doctor to have a blood test done to make sure.

Nothing you drank, ate etc. could have affected the test, and it is greater than 99.9% accurate. The only catch is that it takes several weeks from egg implantation until your body produces the hormones the test registers. A good guildeline is that if you took the test at or after a missed period, then you're safe.
If you are still concerned, buy an over the counter test (also available on-line, drugstore.com etc) to confirm. These run about $10, takes less than 5 minutes and can be used anywhere.

It really all depends...are you late with your period? Sometimes you can get a false neg and still be pregnant...If you drank alot before you had the test done it could have diluted the hcg...blood test are more accurate and if you really think that you are pregnant I would have a blood test instead of a urine test...Good Luck!

the urine tests are accurate if done at the right timeyou might not be far enough along to have a positive reading, if you think you are pregnant your best bet would be to see a doctor and get a blood test so you know for sure

I think they have the same test you can buy at a store. Things that could cause a false negative: didn't use first morning urine, or tested too early. Hope you get what you want!
