midnight he is laying in the crib screaming with eyes closed- he can scream for 40 min. if i pick him up and put him in our bed or take him to the living room floor with a sippy cup he takes 5 sips and then goes back to sleep. this has been happening for 2 weeks
if i leave him he will continue to scream for 40 min to 1 hr at a time. - doc says this is normal..... and to leave him.
- sleep deprived working parent.

If I'm overreacting, please say so, but this really has me upset.

I asked my mother if there was any way that we could arrange to have a baby shower for my daughter, who is going to be here in May. It's been ten years since I have been pregnant with my son, and I did not have anything with him. I had a tiny baby shower (I was unmarried at the time, so my mother didn't invite hardly anyone, and apologized for the inconvenience to everyone when they were leaving) with my son, and used the crib that was MINE when I was an infant (in other words, it was being held together by duct tape due to the fact that I couldn't afford anything else) to hold him). The only things I got at that shower were a couple of outfits and a few packages of diapers. It's not like I got a ton of big things.

I only asked her, though, and she laughed at me. She told me that I was being a spoiled brat by asking, and that people don't have two showers. She also made it clear that I was to go to a friend

I was wandering. I am 15 and a male, and I love kids. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters and my dad's girlfriend has 2 little boys. I have plenty of experience, and in most cases, kids usually love me within just a few mins... What do you think?

When is it a good time to start your newborn on cereal and baby food? My 4 month old is still eating every 3-4 hours, 6oz at each feeding. He is hungry!!! He is perfectly healthy and not overweight. I have begun giving hi, cereal in his bottle and it seems to hold him up for about 4-5 hours. Is it okay to start him on veggies?

He was a preemie too!! He refused to nurse after going back in to the hospital (he was in NICU for a while so I didn't get to nurse until he got home).

I'm a new mom so any advice is much appreciated!!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for around five years with no luck and three failed IVF attempts. After the 2nd IVF I began thinking about adoption, and we have been talking about it for around six months. We've decided this is the option we would to go for and i was wondering if there is anyone out there who could give us advice, share your stories etc. We are interested in overseas adoption, but there seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding the idea. Ideally we would like to adopt a baby, but no other preferences. Thank You

I have never been someone that eats a lot. Not bc I do this on purpose this is just how I am. I am 14 weeks pregnant now and I have really been trying to eat a lot for the baby well more than usual. The thing is that I am not that hungry. I have not had any cravings what so ever in my pregnancy (this is my first). I hear people say you must eat for two then my friend told me that simply is not true and that's how women get so fat and gain excess weight. She said eat when your hungry and don't if your not.This is my usual daily intake: since I have been pregnant I can not sleep what so ever so usually I just lay in bed until I get knocked out at like 7-10 am (I KNOW) then I toss and turn until like 5pm. When I do get up my tummy hurts but when I first get up and eat its hard and I don't feel well. I try to eat toast and my husband usually makes it for me bc he forces me to eat. Then I will eat dinner and snack through the night. Maybe fruit or whatever. I know this is all bad but what can I do to change this and do the right thing? Also, I do not take pre natal vitamins bc they made me deathly ill and so many women on here told me that did not as well and their babies were fine.

I have had my 1st ultrasound; have taken 5 pregnancy test and yet it still just doesn't seem real. It does when I'm talking to my friends and fmaily but when I'm alone and I start to think about it; it's like it's not real at all to me. Like it's a dream and I'm going to wake up from it. I'm under a lot of stress right now too and I wonder if tha thas anything to do with it. I'm working 60 plus hours a wk.; I'm trying to find an apartment; the father wants nothign to do with me; trying ot fill out all my applications for state assistance. I don't know..I jsut want this to feel real and it just dones't. Will this pass? I feel like I'm already a horrible mom because of it.

I found out last week that I'm around 36-weeks pregnant. My doctor says I have gestational diabetes, so I have been on the diabetic diet and whatnot. He said he will induce me March 10th (due date is March 22nd) if I haven't had the baby by then. I had my son 36-1/2 weeks, so I think I'll have this one before March. Anyway, he said I could do a couple of things to induce myself, which was to walk a lot and have sex. My husband and I just had sex, and now I feel sick to my stomach and my lower back aches horribly. Is this normal? Oh, and last night, (we had sex about 4-5 hours before), a small bit of discharge about the size of a dime came out when I urinated. Is that my mucus plug? With my first, I knew what it was because it was all bloody. This time I don't know for sure.

was not even tellin u that yur real dad was tring 2 contact u and 4 almost 10 years sending the letters bac 2 him, wat would u do? expecialy if SHE was the abusive parent, she sent all of the letters bac 2 him, he wanted me 2 come live with him, what should i do, should i try and mail him bac or leave it alone, even his kids ((im not ready 2call dem ma sister or bro yet)) and his wife have been sneding u things, and 1day u get a box of over 900 letters and gifts in it, how would u react, should i mail him tellin him that i never got any of it?

The other day I was at my cousin and her husbands house. Their 6 year old son was mad at something and while I was in the bathroom he threw a glass cup on the floor in anger and shattered it. I walked past the boy's room and the door had a little crack in it. He had the back of his pants and underwear pulled down and his father spanked him about 8 times. I felt bad for him. I was in the kitchen making mac and cheese for my four year old and her friend. While I was doing that Makenzie my daughter took the baby from his walker while bella makenzies friend played a song on the piano [she's a prodegy, she played Fur Elise and she is four] . I looked over worried and told makenzie to put him down and she said "one sec" I kept an eye on him untill she put him down, then I looked the other way to pour the mac and cheese into there bowels when Oliver [my baby] started screaming like NO baby has ever screamed before. I ran over to him and his nose started bleeeding and had a scratch on his fore head that was bleeding too. My daughter wont't tell me what happed and Bella is too shy to talk to me. WHAT SHOULD I DO???????

my man and i think i am pregnant. i have taken 2 tests. one came out negative but it was all broken up the 2nd came out positive then it lost a sign and it too was broken up. now i am always hungry i have to pee all the time my breast are sore and on the right side on my back is in total pain and unconsiously i am always rubbing my belly.
