You'll get plenty through a regular diet if you eat dairy. I am vegan and still get plenty through peanut butter, rice and beans, etc. The protein shakes/bars make me really sick but I don't even require that. I wouldn't worry about it - your baby will get plenty, and you'll know if you aren't getting enough!

If you're not allergic to peanuts, that and peanut butter have a lot of protein in them. Also, cheese is protein-rich, too, though too much of it can constipate you. You pre-natal vitamins should have some protein in them, too. Between all that and eating a bit of meat here and there where you can (chicken is my personal favorite, not red meat), you'll probably get enough. Good luck! And don't forget to drink enough water!

Bleech-I don't like meat that much either. Protein can also be found in other foods besides meats tho--like nuts, cheeses, fish, soy, eggs, beans. Just make sure to eat a wide variety of food.

Protein is in milk, yogurt, cheese, all dairy products. I would gag if I had to eat that much protein just on meat. Yuck.

Eggs & beans have protein maybe you could incorporate these into your meals as replacements for meat.

That was easy for me. Drink gallons of skim milk.
You can drink so much of it, and really not worry about gaining too much weight. Drink it whenever you are thirsty.
And make sure you take your prenatal vitamins!
