i want to know whether or not i should get pregnant. maybe 18 is young, but i love babies and children, and i just dream of the day i hold my son or daughter in my arms. see, my problem is that i am lonely. all my friends moved, and my best friend died. and all the world seems to care about is "who he slept with," "how wasted we got," "how high she was," etc...it makes me sick. i really don't even want to be friends with ppl anymore. i don't want to deal with all their shallowness and stupidity. i feel that a child would be wonderful. i wouldn't have to "care about the world." it would just be me and my child. i am very responsible and mature. i already have $12,000 saved up. so, i need advice. do you think i should get pregnant? if not, what do you think i should do? i mean, i really look forward to raising a child, through good and through bad. I won't be saying goodbye to the crazy teen years b/c i never even said hello..i've had to grow up very early in life. now what?

To be more clear, I'm not talking about teen moms that give birth to a child that they have no desire to raise. This question is about parents that already have children and the mother ends up pregnant with a child that neither parent wants. A personal example:

I have a friend that was an unwanted child and her parents told her during her entire childhood that she was not wanted. She was also horribly mistreated by her much older siblings while her parents stood by and let it happen. If her parents despised her that much, then why wasn't my friend given up for adoption and sent to live with a family that would love her and want her around? How cold-hearted do you have to be to keep a child that you despise and treat it like crap?

Wide enough to ruin its elasticity for ever, indeed. Also, the entire perneum (between kitty and a-hole) can be torn open and requires cauterization, over weeks and weeks (even more painful than giving birth per se). Add to this the fact you sometimes throw up and defecate for hours, while giving birth....do you really want to ger pregnant?

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I havent been stressed or overworked. I don't smoke, don't do drugs or have not touched alcohol in months...In other words i'm trying to do everything right, yet 3 days ago i was taken to hospital from work with heavy bleeding thinking i had lost my baby. I was bleeding from the cervix but an ultrasound showed the baby alive and well much to my relief!!! The doctors said they don't know what caused it nor do they know how to prevent it from happening again!! Any advice???

I am now 13 weeks pregnant but at 6 weeks my babys heartbeat was seen on ultrasound at ONLY 126 bpm, isnt that relatively slow? I still dont know how fast it is yet but it just seems like at 6 weeks that was very very slow,u/s woman told me it was normal..was this the same for you? and should it of risen by a lot since then? and does 126 at 6 weeks indicate a bouncing baby boy?

My daughter has been waking up about 3 to 4 hours after she goes to bed. I know its night terrors. She wakes up screaming and when eather me or my husband go in, her eyes are dialated and she is looking wildly around the room like she does not recognise us. Its like she is still in a dream. Is there anything we can do about it? We were told she was too young for medication and to keep her on a schedule. So far its not really worked.

I have problems with my period. Sometimes I skip 2 months, sometimes even three. I was pregnant 2 years ago with twins and had a miscarriage, and have been trying ever since, but with my ovulation being so messed up it is really hard. The last time I had my period was December 18th. On Janurary 27th I started bleeding but only for a couple of hours and it was dark brown. I took a pregnancy test about a week ago and it was negative, and my boobs just started hurting a little towards my armpit, and I just need some advice. Why would I only bleed for a couple of hours? My periods usually last about 6 days. I had hormone tests done and one was a little elavated, but everything else was fine. I started having problems with my period after my D&C, and I'm afraid the doctor did something. Although my new obgyn said that she highly doubts I had a botched D&C. She thinks I may have the beginning of PCOS. Anyone have any advice I would really appreciate it.
