TUMS or Rolaids, if all else fails you can get a prescription from your Dr for zantac.

I hear you on this one, me too with the hideous heartburn. Every time your baby grows your uterus gets a little bigger and pushes on all your organs. Your stomach gets pushed around, is able to hold less and less, too.

I did the same thing as the smart Answers mama did, Tums and Pepcid. There is an antacid gum that I liked too. Stock up on the tums and get some over the counter pepcid and take it regularly.

Dairy made me more miserable than anything else. I just sipped water, chewed tums and nibbled saltines when I had heartburn.

The minute you deliver it's over; your tummy will be fine.

Ask your DR for Zantac (Ranitadine). I was never so happy as when mine told me I could take it. I was taking the max dose of Tums every day for three months, but it got to the point where even that wouldn't last me through the day. I swear I would get heartburn from smellingfood, even from drinking milk! The Zantac is working wonders. I take it twice a day, and haven't had a tums since! Plus, if your heartburn is that bad, your Dr will want to know. There is a very small chance it could be related to high bp, and he will want to know where - exactly - you get it and what helps get rid if it for you.
