There is nothing wrong with having just one child. I am a mom of 2 and I LOVE MY GIRLS TO DEATH, but they can be quite the handful. If you so choose to have one, then why ask yahoo? There is nothing set in stone on how many kids you should or shouldn't have. My niece is an only child, and she is highly spoiled, and shows it! My girls are at my sister's house during the week, and she has just gotten used to having to share and not argue and fight with them. It's your call on how many kids you want to have not ours! GOOD LUCK

I like your question and I am thinking the same thing.

I was going to only have one (she is 14 months) but now I see that it's not fair to her to be alone and an only child. She loves to be around children but this is not always possible. If she had a brother or sister then she would always have that company, and I know that she would love that.

I have a sister and I don't know what I would do without her, we do everything together and I am happy that I have that.

So we are now in the process to produce a bro or sis for our bub.

All the best to you.

Yes, studies have actually showed only children do better then children with siblings. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having more children, it is a personal choice. I myself am 27 and I have one girl and I am not planning on having anymore. I feel I can give 1 child the full life it deserves, and no more. It is up to the person and what they feel they can handle. Do what you want not what others tell you to do. The number 1 ploy you will hear is they need someone to play with, well that being said what is wrong with parents, playgrounds, play dates and school. Plenty of interaction there.

It can be. It's always good for children to learn to share, siblings usually help w/ this, lol. But sometimes second children don't come, and some people don't have the energy that two children take, so it depends on the situation.

Absolutely, If you only want one child, that is your choice. I have friends who are only children and they are just fine

I think having 1, none, or more than 2 is certainly appropriate. It all depends on what you want.
