Just wondering because I think I read that somewhere before and I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard that. I crave peanut butter everynight and limit myself to one teaspoon.

Does anyone think that if you are infertile that the government should assist you with adoption or at least make it affordable in some way. Why does it have to be so expensive to adopt a child when there are so many couples that can not have kids that would love to have one but can not afford to adopt and....there are so many kids that are just sitting waiting and many that will never get adopted.

Is this common? It doesn't happen a lot, maybe once a day. And i usually use the restroom at least 6 times a day.

My husband and I have been together for four years and married for 5 months. We have a plan to wait 5 years after we got married and we get our lives together (college, careers, and home) before we have kids. Lately though, he keeps talking about babies and how cute I would be pregnant and asking me if Im pregnant every few weeks; even though I am on birth control; and so I take a test and I'm not. Anyway, I tried asking him about if he was having second opinions about waiting for a family; he's in the military and is most likely going to reinlist but he's at home and gets to stay with me. He has been talking about baby names and how he wants a boy. He talks about how he will still tell me Im beautiful and how he wants to spoil me when Im pregnant (although he spoils me all the time anyway). He talks about his friends who's wifes are pregnant or just had a baby. He talks about what kind of dad he wants to be. Do you think he is thinking about us starting a family sooner than planned?

My daughter is 4 and turning 5 this fall. She is starting kindergarten. I am a little nervous, but from what i hear that is normal for all mothers. I need some web sites that have free test for her of some thing that can give me a lesson plan to help me give her what she needs to know.
She can count to 10 colors shapes running dance and no problems with speech.
I just need a mother to talk to who has went though this process already, that can give me some ideas. Even tell me to chill out! I understand my child is smart, when it come to the basics but as all parents i want my kid to do her best.

thank you
worried mother

I have been sleeping with my baby blanket for 22 years is there something wrong with me? I love that blanket, I will never let it go, I will continue to sleep with it. I don't feel like there is anything wrong with me sleeping with it. I have to sew it up every once in a while because I don't want it to fall apart. It is dear to me my grandmother made it for me when I was a baby. Its not a small blanket though its big. What do you all think?

Okay, since my last question I wrote never got posted.....I have a question! I'm 29 weeks pregnant and it hurts to sit down, even to sit on the toilet. It hurts five times as much on the toilet because it feels like I'm opening up inside.

Do you have a few minutes? Do you have a: child/few children/baby on the way? What better way to celebrate than to take a survey?

I am working on a graduate study project involving baby accessories and the accessories you buy for them! Think strollers, and all the things you attach to them (drink holders, baskets, etc...) The project is for a design class that focuses on one aspect of children's needs.

The survey itself will take between 5 and 10 minutes. Responses will be viewed only by me, but the general results will be shared with my class of 8.

If you, or anyone you know, has/had/will have a child, please take a few minutes and fill out a quick questionaire. All responses are very much appreciated!

my daughter is 13 months. i've noticed within the last month she won't give kisses. before we would say "kiss" and she'd do the classic baby open mouth kiss. now we say kiss and she turns her head away. isn't that weird? has anyone else ever had this with their kids?

My nearly exclusively breastfed 12 month old son (he eats solids on ocassion, although he's not always interested) is VERY large. He weighs nearly 40 lbs. and is wearing 3 year old clothes. His waist is so chubby though that he can really only wear stretchy sleepers and sweat pants... he's a round meatball!

He's gone to all of his regular checkups and at his last one (8 months) the doctor sais he was just a big boy. WAY off the charts in both weight and length. But lately everyone has been stressing me out. They think that it has something to do with my breastfeeding him on demand and think that I should wean him now and monitor his food intake.

I have two questions really. My questions are...

Is it possible to overfeed a breastfed baby?

and

Are there benefits to nursing beyond the first birthday?

Thanks.

My boyfriend and I are expecting our 3 child. It is supposed to be a girl so I need some name suggestions. Our 3 year old daughters' name is Bianca Paige and our 1 year old son is named Oliver Grant. My name is Shannon and his is Grant...but I am not sure if you can really get anything from them. Here are some names that I like:
Emma Rose
Mary Elizabeth
Amy Catherine
Cassandra Michelle
Michelle Julianna
Kimberly Allison

Which ones do you like best?

I am certain that he will reach the 22 pound limit before he is a year old and ready for a foward facing seat. It would be nice to use the same carseat base we have for the Snugride because we own two, one for each car. Any suggestions?

My son seems to be becoming more and more attached to the bottle. He asks for a "baba" several times a day. I am worried about his teeth. He drinks the milk and then will continue to suck on the empty bottle. He gets hysterical if I refuse to give him one, or when I take the empty one from him. I know he sees it as comforting and feel terrible taking that from him.

My son is nearly 40 lbs. and only 12 months old. He is very long also, but he is very chubby. Last time I went to the doctor at his 8 month checkup he said "he's just a big guy". But now even my Mom is commenting on how large he is and thinks that I should wean him from the breast because she thinks I should monitor the amount he's eating. He barely eats solids now.

I thought that you couldn't overfeed a breastfed baby. But everyone seems to think that I'm somehow doing something wrong. Has anyone ever had an extremely chubby breastfed baby??
