My husband and I have been together for four years and married for 5 months. We have a plan to wait 5 years after we got married and we get our lives together (college, careers, and home) before we have kids. Lately though, he keeps talking about babies and how cute I would be pregnant and asking me if Im pregnant every few weeks; even though I am on birth control; and so I take a test and I'm not. Anyway, I tried asking him about if he was having second opinions about waiting for a family; he's in the military and is most likely going to reinlist but he's at home and gets to stay with me. He has been talking about baby names and how he wants a boy. He talks about how he will still tell me Im beautiful and how he wants to spoil me when Im pregnant (although he spoils me all the time anyway).He talks about his friends who's wifes are pregnant or just had a baby. He talks about what kind of dad he wants to be. Do you think he is thinking about us starting a family sooner than planned?

its something about guys in the military..they are such softies for a baby. My fiancee is in the marines and I got pregnant right before he left for a 7 month deployment. Which was totally unplanned. But then after I was pregnant and told him i was he has confessed that he actually wanted me to be and he was just really hoping I was! And everything your guys talking about now..is all the stuff I have heard about in letters and when he gets to call. So just come out and ask him. Tell him you thought he was hinting at you getting pregnant and you just wanted to know for sure. Expecially if his friends are having babies and he hears everything they talk about and all..hes definately thinking about it! Good Luck I wish you the best!!

Sounds like he does want a baby....sounds like you two need to sit down and have a real discussion. You have been together for quite sometime....so this is something that should be easy for you. Sit down together. Tell him how you feel and how his talking is making you feel. Tell him what your plans for the future are...and make him share his thoughts and feelings about the future. Then work out a plan from there.

Yes!! It sounds like he wants to start a family with you. As long as you guys are stable together, go for it!! Having a baby is the best thing in the whole world. It sounds like you guys can make it work!

Sounds like he does to me!!! We were planning to have kids after my 4yrs were up. (I was military) Then all of a sudden he started mentioning stuff just like you said. So I just flat out asked him about it. And it took him a bit to admit it but he eventually told me that he really wanted a family!! Like as in he didn't wanna wait...lol
I would just ask him. And be prepared he might not tell you right away... But it sounds just like my hubby...lol
