All he answers to most things is "yes"
4 years old
Seems in his own world but can make eyecontact
Cant cut his own food and sits there looking at it unless someone cuts it and puts it onto the folk for him. If he does put it on the folk on his own he doesnt stop so doesnt digest the food so doesnt understand
Can speak and questions such as "what is your name?" will answer with "what is your name"

I dont no what to do with him, he is being taken to a specialist but its in a few weeks and I need to no what to do.

Also he thinks certain things are his and takes other childrens things. He just says "mine, mine" in a small voice.

He is however co-operative. When I ask him to do an activity it is no trouble bringing him into the classroom however with the activity he needs to be guided. He can count to 10 but only with me and wont do it with other teachers.

And I'm amazed that so many people think that using a 'harness' means that parents are treating children like animals by tying them up...but surely it's safer for us to have these reins than to have an extremely excitable child run out into a road and get hit by a car, or to have them run off and get lost in busy shop, or abducted!

Isn't it time that people stopped criticising those who just look out for the protection and saftey of their youngsters?

Oh- I'm not saying that those who don't use them aren't helping their children be safe though! Don't think that just because you choose not to use them I'm saying you don't care about safety, I just think that those who use them shouldn't be yelled at for making the decision to use reins....

I had sex several times during the day after my menstration period and keep doing it for more than a week. It wasn't an issue to me if i will become pregnant that time coz my boyfriend and i agreed that if ever i will be pregnant, we'll get merried. Now, my problem is that, we had an arguement that ends our relationship a couple of days ago. He will be working and leaving for another country next week and may never come back. I don't want to be pregnant because of this and i'm scared of rasing child alone and so many factors that can be affected. Please help me in my situation right now in avoiding pregnancy...

She is going to be 4 in April. I have heard from some people that I should definantely start her now, while others say that you only get to be a kid once and starting pre-school takes part of that away because it causes the child to have to be responsible and stuff when they should just be playing. I am so lucky that I get to stay home with her, so I dont have to send her if I dont think she's ready yet. I took her for a few days to a near by pre-school for 3 days just to see how she liked it. She cried so much when I was leaving, it was heartbreaking! I noticed that the other kids didnt cry, even those who were brand new to the school like her. So I dont know if I should give it a couple more months or if I should stick with it. Thanks!

I mean, do smaller breasted women find they have less milk supply or do they find it harder to breastfeed a baby?
Does it take longer for such a mother to start nursing her child?
Something I have always worried about a little... my older sis had her kids bottle fed and she is small chested....
No funny answers just some info needed thanks!

My 14 mth, Ella, was writhing in pain from 8-1am last night due to (we suspect) trapped wind. We didn't know how to help her. She has also suffered from constipation for 2 weeks which is causing her distress. She eats a varied diet and isn't a fussy eater. She cannot have dairy however, and is on Wysoy formula (must check with Doc if i can use alternative milk now- tried goats but she's not fussed with it). Could the Wysoy be stuffing her up? She didn't have probs with it before. any advice gratefully receive. thank you. ema

We recently had to terminate when i was 14 weeks, due to complications to the baby, downsyndrome and the doctor said it will only pass away anyway. I am worried it will happen again and i dont want to have to go through it all again as it was very heart breaking. I am only 27 and have 1 other child.

I am so tired of seeing the same questions about a certain name and then finding the best answer be the one that completely "kisses up" to the asker! Come on people! This is not a popularity contest....If you like your child's name or the prospective name then leave it at that! Get over the urge to let everyone on yahoo answers know what you think about your child's unique and special name or normal name....I have seen some really rude and out-of-line comments on here regarding names and origins. OK...so it's special! We get that, please just raise your child to accept other people and their opinions! Who agrees with me??? Am I the only one who thinks this whole "name" thing is getting out of hand????

We are planning our first pregnancy this year, and if we succeed,I've thought of these two names:
Jordan (for a girl)
Logan (for a boy)
My husband agrees on both.
Now,I'm cluless about middle names.I thought Jordan Leigh sounded nice, but a baby who went by that name was murdered here.I don't know if it would be bad kharma or something.
About Logan,well.. I can only think Logan James, but I'm not sure.
Please suggest normal, real names, nothing made up,nothing spelled backwards (no nevaeh or the sort). Keep in mind the last name starts with the letter S.
Thank you!

all stay at home mom's who won't even leave their kids for two seconds with a babysitter are uneducated, controlling or just plain child molesters who aren't capable of getting a real job."

I usually buy into this tantrums and get him a carmel farp. Is this okay? I'm not sure what to do. I give him milk but he doesn't drink it. He spits it out and then tells me a bad word. I'm worried and I don't find it funny. I am lost and it's something which I need to control but at the same time I don't want to deny him his treat.

I'm really excited. The baby is definitely unplanned and my husband is in total shock. But my question is does anyone know of any really good websites I can get some good info off of? I'm already in contact with my doctor and she will obviously be able to answer many of my questions. I'm really looking for a site with some good articles, a pregnancy timeline (week by week sort of thing), and maybe some chats to talk to other expectant moms. Let me know of any you know of and liked. I looked around but was a little dissappointed by what I was able to find.

BTW- I'm approx 5 wks along.

my little boys nan usualy haves him over on a friday night and when she got here to pick him up this week she said she has shingles, but its not catching and so theres no need for me to worry about him getting it from her, well getting chicken pox anyway. so agreed that she could take him. and now, i have just researched it and found out that it is contagous and now my son, who is not even 2 yet could, and probably will, get chicken pox! (he catches everything someone could sneeze 6 miles away and he would catch their cold)

im really really angry with her now as i am actualy going on holiday tomorow so its going to be a nightmare if he has chicken pox while im away!!

My younger sister (in 20s) has 3 kids, no job, and lives at home. My parents provide everything for all of them. Babies' daddies (2) contribute nothing.

I'm the aunt who loves these children dearly. I do what I can for the kids and visit regularly so I get to see all of this: Sister allows kids to be indoors with her smoking boyfriend and his family (kids get asthma and bronchitis); gives the kids soda and chips for breakfast; puts them to sleep in their street clothes; screams things like "I'm going to kill you!" (and the "F" word) at them; acts like they're a burden and rarely shows them love/affection (and the list goes on)

Sister is a very gruff, unmaternal, angry person (always has been). She's impossible to communicate with and screams at us if we try to make gentle suggestions.

The kids mean the world to us, but they're HERS, not ours (which she's quick to remind us). How can we fix her mistakes in child rearing before it's too late? Or is it too late?
