Why are you stopping all at once? That is very hard on your body and on your baby.
I would suggest that you at least get a pump and gradually drop pumping sessions so your body can step down production.
"Cold turkey weaning" can lead to uncomfortable engorgement, plugged ducts and painful mastitis.
Cabbage leaves in your bra and taking ibuprofen can help. Use cold packs on your breasts to reduce the swelling. Bags of frozen peas actually work well because they form to your body.

I couldn't breast feed mine due to circumstances beyond my control. THe best thing to do is get a really suportive bra and have it on quite tight. Then do not touch your breasts at all. This can stimulate them to make more milk and obviously that is what you are trying to prevent. It can be quite painful so probably good to take a painkiller if you can. Within a couple of days it will calm down and you will gradually lose what milk you have left. I have heard that spring cabbage can be cooling but i have never tried it! Sounds bizarre but supposed to be true!

The milk will dry up by itself. However this can be painful, some people find it useful to put a support bandage round the breast area to help this. You may need to take paracetamol. This doesn't last long though, a few days perhaps.
Hope this helps.

You mean you've stopped nursing your baby? Well, if at all possible, continue with nursing since this is absolutely the best for a baby!! Nursing Helps prevent allergies for your baby and even helps to prevent colds or shorten them if they do catch one.
But if you do have to stop, then the milk will gradually dry up. You could pump your breasts or nurse if they are engorged with milk. but nurse only until they are feel better but not completely empty. If you pump or nurse until they are empty then you will just continue producing milk. I'd still say to keep nursing if at all possible.
DId your baby die (I certainly hope not!) or did you have to start back to work??

I recommend binding the breasts or wearing a really supportive and tight bra It will help speed things up. There are medicines that can be proscribed to you but you won't need them if you bind.

Either go to your doctor and take the pills he will prescribe or just wait, eventually you will dry up on your own.
