God doesn't want to make it that easy on us. Believe it or not there was a time when people didn't cut the umbilical cord, yes people just walked around attached to their mothers! Thankfully it was figured out (no thanks to god) that it could be cut and children could move far far away from their mothers and live full and happy lives. I have know Idea, but that would be so much easier, it goes right along w/ my idea of growing a baby in a fishbowl and the counter instead of in your belly, or better yet, let a man have a baby once in a while.

WELL, HE DID IT WITH THE ELEPHANTS. AFTER 22 MONTHS OF PREGNANCY AND GIVING BIRTH, THE CORD TEARS BY ITSELF.
HE PROBABLY DECIDED TO MAKE IT HARDER FOR US.
