Ok,I was wondering if I had sex the day before I got my period if I could be pregnant? It has been a week and I really don't have any symptons. Just my stomach is upset and I have been having acid reflex. So if anyone could help, I would really aprreciate it. Thank-you.

Thank you everyone for your help. It's not that me and my boyfriend don't want to have kids, it's just I'm going back to school and I work full time. I guess I'm just not ready. Thank-you everyone.

Are you sure it was your period? Because a day or two of spotting or even light bleeding might be due to ovulation also. At the time of ovulation some ladies bleed a bit. If it is that then there are high chances of you being pregnant because the time of ovulation is when its most likely to be pregnant. But if it was your period for sure I highly doubt that you may be pregnant. Because one day before period will in no way make you pregnant.

Aye, Aye, Aye!! The chances of getting pregnant when you had sex two days before a woman gets her period are fat and slim. A woman's period happens when an unfertilized egg makes it to the uterus. The uterus lining is then shed because it is no longer needed to support a baby. The first day of a woman's period is considered the first day of the next cycle. After the uterus lining is shed, it starts to build itself up again to prepare for the possibility of a pregnancy in the new cycle. After about 14 days (it can be as short as 10 days or as long as several months) an egg is released from the ovaries. The egg will live for about 24 hours. If it is not fertilized during that time it will die and when it reaches the uterus, the woman will have her period. It takes about 14 days for the egg to travel from the ovary to the uterus. A man's sperm can live for about 3 days in the right conditions. The closer a woman gets to ovulation the more hospitable her body is to the sperm. So the chances of getting pregnant when you've had sex 12-15 days before ovulation is pretty small. You people need to do some research. Get some books or find some reputable sites on the Internet and find out exactly how this whole thing works. And for God's sake, USE BIRTH CONTROL!!!!!

If you had your period you probably are not, but you can be. The time that you have sex in your cycle matters, but you can even get pregnant during your period. Some people even get a period all through their pregnancy.

If you are nervous about it just get a test, it'll make you feel better

Very unlikely, because ovulation takes place about 14 days before your period, it takes the egg about 7 days to travel down to the uterus, so if you had your period the egg was already past the fertilization stage.

My question for you, are you sure that it's your period, sometimes girls get spotting after intercourse, so you might want to check that too.

Yes you can, even if you had your period it is classed as an implantation period. Wait at least another week and do a home pregnancy test or go and see a doctor.
Good luck!

I dont understand why there are so many questions like this, why wont you make the guy wear a condom.?????????? If you tell a guy, I am not having sex with you unless you wear a condom, he will!!!! have respect for yourself, yes you can be pregnant. Use your head, dont ruin your life.
