My ex husband wants me to explain to our 7 yr old that his granny which she is extremely close to has lung cancer. My daughters papa just died 6 months ago how do I tell her that her nana has lung cancer and the prognosis isnt good?

My cousin is 16 and has a boyfriend who is over the age of 19. She thinks she might be pregnant. She hasn't really had any pregnancy symptoms yet but she is still very worried. What she wants to know is, if she is pregnant, can her boyfriend get in trouble with the cops or even go to jail? I thought that only happened if it wasn't consentual (if she didn't give him permission to have sex with her).

i told my mom today that i want to be grounded when i get trouble because that is what happens to 13 year olds when they are bad or they get something taken away. my mom told me that she will talk about this with my dad but she asked me why i thought this. i told her that i am way to big and old to still be getting spanked. i hate that because it hurts and i think it is stupid. it makes me feel bad and usually makes me act better but i don't think that is is good for someone my age.

there are much better ways to get punished. i know i am right. what do you think?

I have noticed a lot of people have kids lately and it seems like they are doing it so they can have something to dress up and have beside them in a matching stroller or something? Maybe they don't mean to come across this way, but have you noticed this same trend?

I'm making my friend a gift basket for her baby shower, filled with all kinds of fun stuff. She's a first time mom, her mother and father are dead and she had a REALLY hard time getting pregnant (6 miscarriages!!!) I really want to make this fun for her as well as extremely functional! I'm a mother myself and have put all the stuff I think she will need, but I need some more ideas...any help would be great! Thanks!

I am 11 weeks pregnant & know that I am feeling kicks. Could I be farther along? This is my 3rd child so I can definitely tell the difference between gas & a kick. I tried to look it up at babycenter.com, but it says I am supposed to feel it in the 2nd trimester. Is this normal?

I have given her all the things that usually give her diarhea, but they aren't even working. Prune juice did not work out with her--she hates it! Nothing has changed in her diet, she drinks plenty of fluids, and is active. I don't want to scar her by giving her an enema. Any natural remedies (not enemas or laxatives) would be awesome

I had sex about 2 weeks ago with my fiance (for the first time.) About a week ago, my breasts got very sore and it just "hit me" that I was pregnant. I'm pretty sure that you can't tell that fast, but I just had a feeling. Two nights later, I was getting VERY dizzy and sick to my stomach. The room was spinning and I passed out on the floor. I have hot and cold sweats at night. I was also VERY tired. I would fall asleep if I sat still for too long.

I'm not even sure if I was pregnant, since it was/is too early to test on a pregnancy test. I have ceased to have any symptoms of nausea, dizziness, faintness, or hot/cold sweats. I haven't had any bleeding. I have irregular periods, so I can't ever track the time when it is supposed to come.

I was having HEAVY symptoms and now they abruptly stopped - does it sound like I was ever/am pregnant?

hey every one im 17 years old and im 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant . i was just wondering if it normal that i cant eat very much i always feel sick and even thinkin of food make me sick . i try to eat as much as a can through out the day just wondering if any one else feels the same . i am so over the moon about being pregnant i just want everything to go smoothly as i had a miss carriage in october . me and my partner just cant wait our baby is due on the 7th of september . cant wait :D

It seems I blow up at my kids just all of a sudden. I'm usually calm but sometimes something dumb just makes me snap and lose my temper. My last period was Dec 21st for four days.
I am wondering when did I ovulate? because I having been having what I think are pregnancy symptoms ever since the 8th or 9th of Jan.
My cyles are not regular at all. This was my first period since October.
Any guess?

I know I can take a pregnancy test or go to the dr.
I have taken a few tests and I am trying to wait until the end of the month for my apt.
If my period were to come it should be anywhere between the 18th-26th based on the months of Aug- Sept(they were like 36 days apart from start to start)

he said things like "why" "i dont know" "i think about it" and "whatever"...anywys we never got married and still arent. Fast forward 2 years and now he will use the whole we are not married thing against me as we may break up...right now the only reason I am here is so I dont lose my child to him in a custody battle as I m a stay home mom and he works (usually out of town) he has threatened to take my kid aways and has made up lies about me to make himself look innocent, when he isnt. This is a man who tried to kill me when i was 8 months pregnant by strangulation and later said he was sooo sorry and wouldnt do it again...stupid me I should have left then bUt i didnt...I dont know what to do...I need advice or anyting useful.

On Friday, I have to go into the hospital and they plan to try and ripen my cervix overnight. They also plan on sending me home on Saturday. I dont understand. Shouldn't they ripen my cervix and then induce me?

He's going to be a year old on the 30th. For the last week he has refused all food, save yogurt. Foods he used to love now cause him to purse his lips and turn his head away. It's very frustrating. Especially when he'll try and eat dust bunnies that he finds on the floor.

He will drink. He's sucking down formula like it's going out of style, but I cannot get any actual food to stay in that mouth!

Does anyone have experience with this?
