OMG... it can't KILL your baby. Give me a break.
A quote from http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/tanningmethods.html
"There are no studies that provide conclusive evidence that tanning beds directly harm your baby"
Pregnancy hormones just make you more likely to burn badly. Similar to if you are on oral contraceptives.

I'm not a doctor, but I would say if you happen to get some natural sun, it's no worse for you than if would be for someone who's not pregnant. But I'd stay away from tanning beds or artificial tanning methods. But the best answer, even if you're not pregnant, is to not tan at all....really, you are entering a time when your body's going to be changing in all sorts of different ways. Embrace this -- it's a magical time. Don't fear the changes, because they herald something so incredible. If you tan, then people won't get to see your glow...

Yes, it's bad. It tends to raise your body temperature literally "cooking" the baby. That is why they recommend you stay away from hot tubs and hot baths as well. Also, your skin is more sensitive and you may burn easier. And melasma, dark spots on your face may appear. Oh, and you shouldn't use a tanning bed anyway unless you want to look like a prune when you're 40 and have moles and freckles and skin cancer. Stick to a sunless tanner, these are safe during pregnancy.

It is bad. You need to stop going ASAP. When you are in the bed your body temperature is going to go way up because of how hot you get. Overheating your body, especially in early pregnancy can cause neural tube defects. You should also steer clear of hot tub and very hot baths as well.
