what else can i do to make my self go when i'm 37 weeks?

well what can i do to help my self go once i hit 37 weeks, my baby already wieghs 6 1/2 pounds?

i went to dr at 35 weeks and was 1 cm and thinning out and i went at 37 weeks but my sister was the same and didn't go tell 41 weeks (being induced) it all depends on your body.
i suggest walking alot and some say sex and nipple stimulation but that didn't work for my sister and i don't think it did anything for me either, it just depends on your body and when the baby wants to come out-but i understand wanting to go early i would like to with my second as well

Stop trying to do anything to make yourself "go". You are almost there, but not yet! A baby knows when it is ready, and a chemical will be released signaling your body to start working. Forcing this natural phenomenon is not a good thing! Be patient and enjoy these last few weeks with your baby.
And as far as being 1 cm and 50% effaced? You could stay that way for a long time. With my first child I was dialated to a 3 and 70% effaced for 3 weeks.

Any time in the next 6 to 8 weeks! Average 1st pregnancy is 41 weeks 1 day!! Subsequent pregnancies on average are about 40 weeks 3 days! Chances are you'll be right about on time!! But there is no real way to accurately predict when!!! Sorry!

Why do you want to deliver at 37 weeks? The best and healthiest thing for the baby is to let nature take its course and wait for 40 weeks. You want the baby's lungs to be mature enough so it can breathe on its own and not go to the NICU.

Unfortunately, this isn't really a sign of anything. You still have 5 weeks left before you are full term. There are some old wives tales of how to induce pregnancy, but none of them are sure-fire.

Babies seem to have a way of coming out when they are ready and not before. Too bad we have to be uncomfortable the entire time.

Just wait until 40 weeks. This is better for your baby and if you don't go into labor on your own they can induce you. Doing anything to try to induce your own labor can be dangerous.
