I just got my membranes stripped and wanted to know if I would have contractions first then my water break or can my water break and then start having contractions? Any response would be appreciated.

My mom kicked me out and now I'm living with my aunt and uncle. They're nice but really strict. I have to be in the house at 8pm and it's lights out at 9pm. I have to wake up at 5am everyday to make breakfast for them. They like to eat breakfast in bed. The only time they let me stay out late is if I'm working a late shift but then I still have to call them when I get out and wake up at 5am. I even have to get up this early on weekends. Why would they do this?

My 13.5 daughter wants to go to a movie with her friend this Friday after school. However, she does not want to tell me who are going with her. I tried to have a conservation with her if a boy inviting her to the movie. As a parent, I need to know where my child is and who she is with.

My daughter feels that her friends' parents do not question there children where they are. She feels that I'm being over protective of her and does not let her makes her own mistakes.

I love my daughter and understand understand that she wants to be with her friends but feel that she needs to be responsible with her actions.

The other day, when she disrespected me by used a "F" word and slapped me on my face. I could have easily slapped her back but I didn't. My husband and I sat her down to talk to her that her action was inappropriate and was disrespectful to me.

I asked this question earlier about whether or not my daughter is really ready for whole milk. She is ten months old. She weighs 23 lbs and has two teeth as well as she is a professional crawler and will probably be walking soon as she attempts to stand by herself frequently and pulls herself up on everything.

She usually eats rice cereal for breakfast, two jars of baby food for lunch (meat and fruit) and also the same for dinner. Overall she drinks about 25 ounces of fluids. However, my problem is that for the last four weeks she will not drink her formula. She may have an ounce or two but she always ends up throwing her bottle down if formula is in it. (She still prefers drinking juice or water from her bottle but if formula is in it, she turns her face as if she doesn't like it.) My point in saying all of this is that I think she is telling me that she no longer wants formula and she does eat a lot of solids. If anyone else has had this problem please give me some expert advice.

Not the abortion of a person that has been raped, or abused, nor that of a young girl that might be pregnant with a child of incest, also not when there may be a medical problem with either the child or mother if the pregnancy is carried full-term. I am talking about abortion of women that are using that as their ONLY form of birth-control. And the women that feel like a child would mess up their life or something like that. I am talking about the ones that are afraid of the embarassment of having a child out of wedlock, or the ones that let the father of their child dicatate the outcome of the childs life (if the child gets the chance to have one). I will tell you now, that i am biased. I feel that yes, women do have the right to choose, but that they made there decision when they decided to sleep with the person. I am fifteen, and a female, and i am totally AGAINST abortion for any reason other than the ones mentioned at the begining of this question. And i just want 2cwut u think

If the ultrasound shows that you conceived after your period that means your conceived after right? I know this is a stupid question but my friend and I have been going back and forth on this subject. I had unprotected sex on the 13th of July 2006. I had my period on the 19th of July 2006. It was a 6 day period and there was nothing light about it. My friend seems to think I got pregnant before my period. But the ultrasound is showing I got pregnant after. I could have conceived between the 29th of July-8th of August. I had sex then also. I am 24 weeks now. If I would have conceived before my period I would be a few weeks later in pregnancy right? I trust the ultrasound and what it has to say. I just think my friend wants to be right. Although I think I am the right one!! :) What do you think?

leaving her 10 yr old, 6 yr old and 5 yr old in the care of one of their school teachers 5 days a week, mostly overnights. The father of the children is petitioning for the kids to come and live with him, since he is not oly financially able to afford it, but he is a stay at home dad, providing the kids with a familial relationship.

What would your ruling be if you were the judge? Send the kids to live with their Dad who is able to spend 24/7 with them, or keep them in the full time care of the babysitter with visitation with their prison guard mother?

I am 20 weeks pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant, I was 188 pounds. During the first part of pregnancy I dropped right down to 180lbs. I didn't have bad morning sickness or anything. I have been eating well. Now I am back at 185lbs but am finding it hard to gain what I should be at this stage of my pregnancy. Has this happened to anyone else? Can you give me any tips on how to gain the weight and keep it on?

Our baby girl is only 4 and half months old. We only breastfeed her, sometimes only water as addition. Now, she is not interesting in eating. i.e. She sucks for a few seconds then just wants to suck her fingers.

Why is that? Will it harm her growing? and how we should do?

I have a 10 month old that has been sick on and off for about 4 weeks now. My husband, myself, and my other 2 children have also been sick on and off for 4 weeks. my newborn is 2 weeks old and up all night...i understand this is probbaly normal and it may take some time....people say i have to keep her up more during the day but i really dont know what i can do to entertain a 2 week old....if shes tired shes gonna sleep no matter what i am doing....this is my first child and i am wondering when i can start getting her on a schedule and some good ways of doing so...thanks

i think i started my period in july but haven't had anything show up think it is just because it is irregular. i have pretty good sized boobs almost a b cup and i have pubic hair( alot) and when i started there was more than 1 spot of light brown blood on my panties then i wore a pad and there was some brown blood on it to my stomach hurt a little and my period lasted about 2 or 3 days do you think i had it? i am 13

To everyone who answered my question about my children's names.
Pantera, is actually a wiccan name meaning, big black cat. Ivory means beauty or pure, and Athene is short for Athetha the greek goddess for wisdom.
My son's Xavior Devlin Scott, actually mean bright, brilliant scottsman. And it's pronounced how it is spelt.
So to everyone she is not named after no band.
I like to give my kids their own idenity. And there names give them choices. My son loves his name. He knows its meaning.
My daughter hasn't gotten to that point yet, she goes by Tera. she is also only 5.

Should I be there??
My g/f is in gymnastics and I want to go and support her. Her parents are unable to go but they ask that the gymnast bring someone. She asked me to go but I know it makes her coach made when I give her flowers(and a kiss) after she finds out she did awesome. Her coach blames me for why she took second(she had a broken wrist. she usually takes first)
Should I still go?? Her coach also hates that after the longer meets I will carry her out(b/c she has a partial tear in her muscle and isn't supposed to push it)
Should I go to her state finals??(she wants me to but her coach thinks I make it too easy for her, he says "she needs stress")

I do not consider myself super-religious, but I believe in the power of community and faith to make things happen. My husband and I have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive a child for two years. Last Thursday, I had an IUI after taking injectable meds.. I really hope next week's prgnancy test gives us the answer we have been praying for...please help!
