I would listen to her pediatrician instead of soliciting advice from total and complete strangers.

My doc told me no cold medicine but that tylenol cold for infants was ok. We have been using it the past few nights because he is sick and has been running a low grade fever. It will not hurt her, just don't give it too much. It is in the baby section at the store. Also, there is baby rub vicks now and it works wonders. Try the baby vapor bath and the hot steam vaporizer. It is 10 bucks at walmart. For those who are judging her.. she is a new mom and even though the doc says something, sometimes the mother knows best. She may just be asking for others experiences and answers. Grow up.

I gave it to mine and my doc said there was no problem in giving it to her. I know that when they have a fever they "need" it but when they teeth and also when they just do not feel good at all. I think you need to get an infant cough med. to stop the cough if that is the main problem but try Tylenol other wise.

use the baby Tylenol cold. on the dropper at the first line (0.4) we have been giving my little girl Tylenol since she was about 3 months old of course i wouldn't give you this info unless my doctor had said it was OK for my baby which he did. It is also recommend that you give your child a dose of Tylenol about 30 minutes before they get their shots that way they aren't to uncomfortable after wards. if you would like to contact me i have a paper form my doctor that has the recommended doses for Tylenol and other pain/fever medications with weight of child feel free to contact me at smurfzoesmama@yahoo.com

I have always given my son Tylenol before we go to get his shots every other month. It helps with the pain and helps you later on. So I have given him Tylenol since he was 2 months old and he is just fine. I would not give her Motrin, just make sure you get her exact weight before giving her a dose you can find the charts that tell you have much to give on line.

My doctor ok'd the use of infant tylenol when my son was 2 months. She suggested it for not only fever but also teething, minor boo boo's and just feeling overall miserable.

My little one was sick when she was 10 weeks old and I called and asked and my doctor said that she could have tylenol. He said that if she was between 8-12 pounds to give her .04 of the dropper and if she was over 12 pounds to give her .06.

Tylenol won't help her cold I agree with your doctor. Make sure you have a humidifier in her room and she is getting plenty of fluids. A warm bath will help too.

Just to let you know they make a dimetap cold medicine that is just for infants. It works very well my son is prone to colds and we use it all the time.
