Should I be there??
My g/f is in gymnastics and I want to go and support her. Her parents are unable to go but they ask that the gymnast bring someone. She asked me to go but I know it makes her coach made when I give her flowers(and a kiss) after she finds out she did awesome. Her coach blames me for why she took second(she had a broken wrist. she usually takes first)
Should I still go?? Her coach also hates that after the longer meets I will carry her out(b/c she has a partial tear in her muscle and isn't supposed to push it)
Should I go to her state finals??(she wants me to but her coach thinks I make it too easy for her, he says "she needs stress")

You should go with her to the state finals. Don't worry with what her coach says. The coach is not her owner. As long as she wants you there, that is what matter. It's good that she has someone like you in her life to support her, and give her motivation.

Your girlfriend needs to be focused when doing and practicing her routines, because she could hurt herself if she becomes distracted. However, she doesn't need stress. She does need someone who will encourage her and knows how serious doing gymnastics is, and won't let her be soft on herself. But this should be done in a positive way, otherwise it isn't helpful and can be harmful.

You pretty much sound like a positive influence on her and her coach sounds a little too serious. As long as you do as I stated above, then you should go always if and when your girlfriend wants you there and her parents will allow it, if you're able to go.

Looks to me like the coach has some issues. You should go and support her because she needs someone support and the coach is not the boss of you so you can go.

I thought we answered this question last week....twice in fact.

Follow your heart and support your girl friend at the State Finals.

I'm very surprised that a person (the coach) who in a position of trust and power would be so rude and, quite frankly, malicious. This coach is placing unrealistic demands on those s/he is supposed to guide and help. Clearly this coach needs an attitude adjustment in addition to sensitivity training.

Perhaps you can tell him/her "You accomplish more using honey than you do vinegar."

Hope this is of help and good luck to your girlfriend in the State Finals!

Look, don't worry about that coach!
Talk to your girlfriend about the matter. If she wants you there for support...GO!
You aren't the cause and I'm sure your gf doesn't think so. Keep doing the right thing and keep supporting her.
Kudos to you!

The coach has no say in it. If it helps your G/f , go and support her!

i'd wouldn't care what the coach thinks. your not there to please her but your g/f. besides, i think most coaches would probably be like that with a serious athlete bacause they don't want to have to be worried with things getting in the way. obviously you're not in the way so i wouldn't care what the coach thinks or wants. You're not dating her.

yes of course if u really like her and really want to support her, it would be sad if she wanted u to go and u didn't. u dont really need to be worried about the coach, just cheer her on
