Vicoden are narcotics.
They are a I believe a class 5 controlled substance.
They are illegal for her to have with out a prescription.
They are very addictive.

Story of my sister in law. She started taking vicoden. She got addicted to them. She spent all sorts of money to buy them. Once they got too weak she moved on to bigger things. In the end, she has hepatitis c and is on methadone. Which is a drug they give to heroin addicts to keep them normal. This all started out with vicoden.

My advice, GET OFF THEM while you can and see a doctor. They can prescribe something else. And maybe she should take it easy with the gymnastics.

Lets dicuss vicadin. Highly addictive, illegal to possess without a prescription, and all together a BAD idea. Tell her to go to the doctors asap and get on something else.

Vicadin can also be harmful for people with certain pre-existing conditions (like all drugs), and it can easily harm her. There is a reason you should never share prescription drugs!

"Do not take Vicodin with alcohol, other narcotic pain medications, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxers, or other medicines that can make you sleepy or slow your breathing. Dangerous side effects may result. "

"may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Vicodin should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it. "

Before using Vicodin, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:
asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, or other breathing disorders; liver disease; kidney disease; underactive thyroid; a history of head injury or brain tumor; epilepsy or other seizure disorder; low blood pressure; gallbladder disease; Addison's disease or other adrenal gland disorders; enlarged prostate, urination problems; mental illness; or a history of drug or alcohol addiction."

Ew. NEVER EVER take anything WITHOUT a perscription - not only because you can get addicted or something but because look. You have a perscription for a reason. This medicine is for YOU and YOU only. You only take what the perscription says and nothing more or nothing less. If your perscription says to take it for ONE WEEK even if you are better before that, you still take it for ONE WEEK. Why? Because. When you are on that medication, it is working with you. And you need to keep using it to get rid of ALL the bacteria. If you stop early, you might not have gotten to all the bacteria, and it can reproduce, multiply and get you sick or whatever again. And you know what? When you go to the doctor and get medicin again - it won't work. Because that bacteria that is now in your body is immune to that medicine.
I don't know if this has really anything to do with your girlfriend's situation, but it's never a good idea to take medication that is not perscribed to you. So tell her to stop, and to see a doctor herself.
