If you had conceived 6 days before a period, you would probably have miscarried. The period after ovulation is called the luteal phase. This needs to be at least 12 days for the pregnancy to be viable as the fertilised egg needs to travel a fair bit. On 13th July you should have already ovulated approx 5-8 days before.
Although it is possible to have a period while pregnant, it isn't so common. Also it probably would have been lighter.
Believe me, having unprotected sex doesn't mean pregnancy is certain, not that I want to encourage the idea, because it is possible, but it took me two years of unprotected sex to get pregnant.
Trust the ultrasound it is no doubt correct. I remember from mine it was amazing how spot on they were time wise to the development stated in the guide books.
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

I am pretty sure that if the ultrasound showed that you conceived after your period, then that is probably the truth. I know that the ultrasounds can be off by a few days, but they are pretty accurate. What would make your friend think that you conceived before the period and not afterwards? Did you have unprotected sex after the period or was it only before the period? (Although, no birth control method is 100% except for abstinence) If you are 24 weeks along, your doctor/midwife should either have started or is going to start measuring your belly, and this is also a good indication on checking your due date with your measurements. Good luck and keep us posted!

trust the ultrasound and also im pretty sure the unborn baby would have been washed out with your period as it was a long time since unprotected sex and the end of your period...meaning the embryo would no longer be in the fallopian tubes which means it would have gone...out...so id say after your period

ok well first of all...conception does not happen the minute he blows in you...this may take a few days to get done. in many women it happens after your period....you must have conceived after your period. even though you had sex before it came...you still would have conceived after..its complicated...but you get your period after your ovulation date wich you in a way got pregnant. but a pregnancy test will say negative before the period comes and will say positive after.

Ultrasounds are not always right.
However if your period was normal and not light then i think you concived after your period.
In saying that it can be normal for unexplained bleeding early in pregnancy, i think it is more likely you concived after your period but it may be something you will never know the true answer of

The earlier the ultrasound is done, the more accurate it is. The early ultrasound can be more accurate than the date of your last period. So yes, the ultrasound date is more accurate than the date of your last period.

Trust the ultrasound. The likelyhood that you are measuring small AND you got your period during pregnancy is very, very slim.

I think you will never know who is right. Ultrasounds are just a tool for your doctor to ESTIMATE your Due date and your conception date.

If your due date is April 26,2007 you got pregnant after your period. You can then decide who is right.
