We didn't even go out. We were supposed to, but she didn't show up.

She was perfect. She respected me, she actually liked me, and she was smart, too. Now that's hard to find.

Now this jerk who was my friend (he isn't anymore because he keeps callin' me Shin) is with her, and I haven't had a great conversation with her since. That is the whole I've been sad for the past few days.

She was the perfect girl, now she's gone. I can't find someone EXACTLY like me or anywhere close.

What the Hell am I supposed to do?

Somebody please give me some ideas how to stop this. My 16 month old daughter gags herself when she's mad or when she is alone. She will forcefully shove her fingers down her throat and gag herself until she throws up. She does it for attention and to "retaliate" against you. The doctor says that it's a phase and she will grow out of it. She has been doing this since 11 months. I've tried smacking her hand and hot sauce and yelling and ignoring it but nothing works. She wakes up gagging every single morning. She will look you straight in the eyes and put her fingers in her mouth and fake gag. It's a game to her. I'm at wit's end. Everybody that I know has never heard of anything like this or if they have it's only lasted about 2 weeks. Does anybody have the same situation as me and know what I can do? If I ignore it, she will continue gagging herself until she throws up everywhere. Please help!

I grew up in the city, went to high school on the coast and now live in a country town,(pop:130000). My husband grew up in a smaller town just 30 mins away with a pop:6000. All of his family,(aunts,uncles,e.t.c..), grew up in cities Brisbane, Sydney, Gold Coast, London, e.t.c... They all have lower opinions about education, employment, and lifestyle oppurtunities in the country. I have noticed this seems to be a common opinion of alot of old friends of ours too who now live in the larger cities. In my experience all places have the same variety of people everywhere. Funny thing is my sisters high school was ranked 1 in QLD for O.P. scores and there are only 600 students in her school. Also most of our friends earn more money in agricultural jobs than those in office jobs in the city. So why do they have such a poor opinion on country people?

I know women have increased risks as they get older, but do men in their 40's and beyond have an increased risk as well (assuming the mother has no risk at all)

I definitely need documentation for this, it is for a friend.

Just as the eyelids protect the eyes, the foreskin protects the glans and keeps its surface soft, moist, and sensitive. It also maintains optimal warmth, pH balance, and cleanliness. The glans itself contains no sebaceous glands -- glands that produce the sebum, or oil, that moisturizes our skin.11 The foreskin produces the sebum that maintains proper health the surface of the glans.

The mucous membranes that line all body orifices are the body's first line of immunological defense. Glands in the foreskin produce antibacterial and antiviral proteins such as lysozyme.12 Lysozyme is also found in tears and mother's milk. Specialized epithelial Langerhans cells, an immune system component, abound in the foreskin's outer surface.13 Plasma cells in the foreskin's mucosal lining secrete immunoglobulins, antibodies that defend against infection.

There are countless benefits to having foreskin. So I just don't understand why people still do it to their sons??

I'm sure all you Mums are going to laugh at that question, but I wonder if I'm panicing over nothing. Was your birth better or worse than you anticipated? I'm due in 3 months and am starting to read up on pain relief and how dialation works. It seems weird to me to hear that some people get told not to come into the hospital yet. How do you manage the pain at home if you're told not to come in until you're more progressed? All seems very overwhelming and scary.

My high-school-aged cousin is thinking about buying a yearbook for every year that she attends her highschool. That means she would buy one freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior year. She wants it to remind her of the people who she "shared the high school experience with."

Is it a good idea?

I have been having contractions for about a week, my pelvic area feels like it's going to break and my back is killing me. I also lost my mucus plug last week. I got checked again today and I am still not dialated, but my cervix has been "very" soft for 2 weeks. When do you think I will start to dialate? How much longer until you guys think he will be here?

My 2 kids have lots of toys and books, most are given by aunts and uncles- they have 8. This xmas I bought them 3 gifts each and they loved them! However many family members thought it was stingy and mean. A good friend of ours spent $4000 on their unborn baby- clothes, toys..not including nursery furniture. I dont want materialistic children. On their birthday they get 1 gift and choose a place to go out to - the zoo, museum, park, e.t.c... What has happened to people, that they think the amount of presents given to a child is is a measure of their love? Do any parents here feel the same way or does the christmas, birthday- gift giving guilt get you everytime?
