This could get long, but I will give a rundown on what I have learned so far.
My twins are 16 months old and are identical.
First thing I learned was to take it easy. Get your ducks in a row early on because pretty soon you won't be able to do as much if anything.
My twins shared a crib for the first few months until they started moving around and disturbing eachother. Now they are in side by side cribs. So, if you want to put off buying a crib go ahead :)
The best thing for me when they were born was to feed them both at the same time, change them at the same time, lay them down for bed at the same time....if you don't you will be with a baby attached to you 24hrs a day.
Buy your diapers and wipes by the case and start now. Get a variety of sizes. Save reciepts in case they break baby's bottom out. That way you can exchange the unopened cases for a different brand.
Baby slings, baby swings, vibrating bouncy seats, and a double stroller are things I frequently used.
I made sure I had meals frozen for my return from the hospital. Your time will be so consumed you really need a chance to ease back into normal life....if you can call it normal.
Do as much reading about twins and babies as you can before your due date. You will learn a lot.
Accept help. If you don't (and I didn't in the begining) you will wear yourself thin.
Good luck, and I hope I helped at least a little.

Go on the internet - google or yahoo - and type in help with twins.
There are too many sites to list here, that will answer your specific questions.
I'm sure that there is an organization in your area that will be able to put you in touch with parents of twins.
If nothing else, go to a local elementary school and give the principal or headmaster your telephone number, and ask the it be given to parents of twins. Get their "local" advise.

If they are girls, you can keep each of their finger and tonails painted different colors to tell them apart. Dress them alike no matter what people say, it is so cute. You can still breastfeed, and you will be glad you did when you can sleep while they eat in the middle of the night. Crying is only a baby singing you a song, nothing to stress about. Double trouble, double love, double fun.

GOD bless you honey. Doubles the pleasure and grief. LOL just love them and hold them and before you know it they will be grown, it goes by very fast. And throw in a whole lot of patience. Take care and good luck.
