I think under 16 if you put everything up and they just play games on it then its fine but don't teach them chats they might not remember to not give out everything and with all those preditors out there it could get them into trouble block the chats from them and if you chat have them have their own sign in and you have the master sign in so you can go into the chats but have them blocked from it then it stops them from getting into trouble or what you don't want them getting into

My son is 5 and knows how to use a computer. It's an essential skill to have.

I got a computer when I was about 12 (1996 maybe) by 13 I learned html and by 14 I got paid WELL to do websites. I moved out at 17 and had a very successful home based business on the internet wholesaling clothing on my own website and on ebay. I ordered 90% of my stock online. I did that for about 5 years before I went back to work for a great company as a computer analyst. I have great pay, great benefits and I never even went to college.

I want my kids to go to college obviously but computers have paid for the wonderful house we live in and keep us in good health insurance. Can't ask for more IMO.

My 3, 5, and 7 year olds use the computer all the time. They are growing up in a computer world. They get it at school, they see mom and dad on it all the time, and in the future they will need computer skill for EVERYTHING. The better question is, Why WOULDN'T you teach your children the computer just as you teach them to talk, to read, to use the potty, etc? It's the basis of our lives these days. To try to deny it is just sticking your head in the sand.

Computers rule the world.

theres seriosly is no job that doesn't have computers. He needs to learn early to get use to them and they really make school projects easier and reports easier. They have to learn home row typing at a young age or they'll never be able to do it

Young children should be taught how to use a computer.

Now it is foolish to allow them free range on the Internet.
