Yeah, it's great. People leave, and people change. It's cool to look back after a few years and see that progression.

No, I bought only one, and that was for my senior year. And I can tell you that I never pull it out really. I don't remember 2/3 of the people in the book anyway, eventhough a lot og people in high school knew me.
Personally, I think it is a lame idea. It's expensive, and one really doesn't look at those books. They just collect dust in closets. The only reason I could think of her buying one for every year would be if she is the type who will pull out the books every few months and take a look. Or if she is in a lot of clubs and on alot of teams. Otherwise, it's a waste.

I bought one for every year of high school, as well as middle school before that. But in my town, that was normal. Everyone bought the year books and passed them around the last few weeks of school, having all your classmates sign them and write you well wishes (or just stupid, witty, or sarcastic stuff).
Well, I have been out of high school now for going on ten years and I have to admit that looking back on them and reading what everyone wrote is an absolute hoot! Everything was so serious and your friends were so important...and then the difference from then to now is just hilarious!
And then of course there is going through them and finding guys/girls you had crushes on, etc. ;) With me, I was friends with a lot of people in higher and lower grades than myself, so if I did not get *every* yearbook, I would be missing people that I knew.
I recommend she buy them all.

It may seem really important to you now, but once you get out of school those year books mean less and less. You might want to have one for each of your last two years. Unless you were involved in something really memorable in your freshman and sophomore years I wouldn't get one. As you get older it's sorta like what am I going to do with this? It is nice to have one or two just to look at and remember who was in your class and some of the important events. It might be best to take a few pictures and be sure and write name on the back soon as you get the picture back. If you don't write names the pictures also end up in the trash--less money unless you don't want to keep them.

Yes, I think that's a wonderful idea. In the years to come, it will be a nice reminder of the people she has attended high school with and how they grew from children to adults over those couple of years. In the UK, we don't have year books and I always feel jealous that American schools do are they're a great keepsake to have of your schooldays and many of the people who you probably won't ever see again.

I think its a good idea. Even though, while you are in high school, the people and events seem like things that arent all that important, and the important ones seem like you will remember them forever, its always nice to have the yearbook to look at. Im in my 3rd year of college, and I am so glad that I have my yearbooks to look at and remember people and events that I had forgotten about.

to tell the truth, I think that the high school yearbooks are pretty darn expensive. so what i'm gonna do is take pictures with my own camera and buy my senior yearbook.but i wanna buy my freshman book too. the only time i would buy the book is if i moved to different schools. but if I had the money, i would so totally buy all the yearbooks.

YES! I just came across my sophomore yearbook a couple of weeks ago and I was really wishing I had my junior and senior yearbook. It might seem expensive but it's worth the investment.

I personally think that it is a great idea. So many people come and go and this can give her some memories to look back on. I wish that I would have done that but I didn't. I bought one for my freshman year and senior. There are some many people and memories that can in between that and I wish that I had those year books to look back on those times.

Are you rich? Can you afford them? Do you have someone special in each year who you would like to remember?
Sometimes, when you get only your senior yearbook, it will not have pictures of your favorite teachers who you've had in earlier grades. It might not have a picture of you in a lower grade when you were the star of a show or on a special team.
In other words, if there is a reason for buying a yearbook, and you can afford it - then go for it.

It's a nice idea...especially if you have lots of friends in grades higher than you. The other thing is that once a year has passed, it's hard to track down a yearbook so it's now or never.
