You should re-test. Backpain this early is not an indication of pregnancy; back pains turn up as the baby increases in weight, so that comes along around the second or third trimester and you would be on your first. It's possible to get a faint line; although the most sensitive pregnancy test tell you you MAY get a response 5 days before your missed period; and since you state that your period may come on the 13th and today's only the 4th, I'd say it's too early for any pregnancy test to accurately pick up the pregnancy hormone.
I would give it a couple more days and retest. If you are, then the line is just bound to get darker since you're obviously having a rapid hcg hormone increase. Good luck!

Jan 10-13 you are expecting the period? I would try on the morning of the 8th just to be sure... If you take one now it would still be faint if you were pregnant, and you'll want to retest again anyways... if you have the money to buy a bunch of tests though take one everyday... =D I ended up taking 6 tests in 2 days when I saw a positive... I had to be sure... And now... I am VERY sure. Good luck!!!

You could be pregnant, I would test again in the am, when the HCG hormone the pregnancy test is looking for is most concentrated in your urine. Yes, a test can pick up the HCG hormone 6 days past conception. However, since the hormone can vary so much in women, the tests are never 100% accurate. If you don't start around your due date and still test negative, see a doctor.

you need to wait at least 10 days after ovulation but most likely 14 days after ovulation will show a positive if you are indeed pregnant.

A pink line is a pink line -doesn't matter how dark it is. Yes means yes. You can only get a false positive if you just had a miscarriage or are on hormone therapy.

Go to your doctor and have them take a blood sample to check your (HCG) levels or human corionic gonadotropin level, this is the most accurate test.

I really would wait till you actually miss your cycle. Then its more likely to be correct.
