Pregnancy & Parenting - 3 January 2007

Here is my thing my period are about 5 to 6 days long and heavy on day 1 and 2. I got my period on Dec. 30 not the same as usual it was medium flow and on Dec. 31 I had it lighter than the day before. on Jan. 1 didn't have anything and Jan. 2 just brown spotting and that has been it. I was wondering if it could be that I am pregnant or if I'm just getting something.

BTW Yes, there is a possibility of pregnancy just the period is in the way to completely be sure of pregnancy.

I know it is supposed to reduce the chance of SIDS, but honestly, dont you think it is safer for a baby to sleep on their side, in case they spit up and choke?

my baby is 7 months and he is already been sick a couple of times. REcently he is down with sore throat, flu, cough and fever and not eating well. The doctor told us not to keep feeding him with the medincine but rather the natural process. We have talked to her several times but to no avail. My wife said "if it was anyone but my mom, we just wouldnt let her be around our child." Now we have another on the way and I just don't think I can take it. The MIL thinks because she raised a child she doesnt have to do what we {esecially me the dad} says. I am at the point I don't even want her around. We got along ok until the child came. How do I get my life back and get the MIL to do what we ask?

I was interested in know about anyone who has refused blood tests during pregnancy, i have a very bad fear of needles, i stress it very much over it and its bad enough where im shaking and hiperventilating, i cant eat or sleep, this has already cause me a m/c once before, so i was considering refusing the blood test if possible.

hope these are clear go to this site and tell me what you think.. I got a ultrasound done in 3D in kansas. You have to pay like 100 dollars for them here.. I went in and had gotten a video done as well. And captered this off the video this is were she was trying to find the sex parts.. The lady said the baby was a girl but, She never pointed it out, and the baby defanitly didnt look like girl to me down there.. I have a 9 month old daughter at home and ya this looks like pee wee to me.. I think she was jus in a hurry she wouldnt show me the parts in 3D she had a attitude... But, let me know what you guys think...

Well, not hates...but doesn't much like.
We are a very young couple, he now is only 20. We don't plan on having kids for some years yet, but we are talking about it, and the question has come up whether I want to have them at all.
You see, he doesn't like children. At our reception, I tried to introduce him to my beautiful little "nephew" Christian, who's 1. He literally backed up and said, "Uh....okay. It's a kid." He refused to touch him like the baby was the plague!
However, he claims it's because he doesn't like kids who aren't his. But he doesn't have any, so to me this just says he doesn't like kids. I feel he wants children more as a trophy, or for the sake of having some perfect family, than he does because he wants to be a father. When I told him I didn't want to have children with him until he grew to like them and want to raise the, he gets super pissed.

Am I overreacting here? Do many guys act this way, but still be good fathers?

My baby just turned 6 months old and she uses the potty to poop (sometimes pee!). She dosen't like to go in her pamper. I have a potty that has a hard plastic seat but Iam looking for one that has a cushy seat. I have one for the big toilet that is cushy but it is too big for her...

Ok, so this may sound odd, but being pregnant, what doesnt sound odd, and sometimes frankly just disgusting? Anyways, im normally a very constipated person, and when i did have a bowel movement, it was more like rabbit terds, but today i started having cramping and really soft movements, and it worried me as to why it would change without doing anything, also i am bleeding (rectaly) and in my "what to expect" book, it says its normal and could be hemroids, but i dont feel anything on the outside, and it says hemroids on the inside are very rare, so could i just be odd???
Another thing, i am really tired, and ive been trying to lay down, but my son keeps rolling ( or at least thats what it feels like) over my bone, like the hip or something? and it REALLY hurts, and i have added pressure on my back, but when i stand i feel as though im waddeling! and it feels like i have pressure down there too...is any of this normal??? or could it be time??? thanks!!!

I feel like I am very ready to have children, although I am getting over several years of depression. We have been married for 3 years and we're in our mid 20's. He is keen on having kids but is not sure if he is ready yet. Is this purely fear of becoming a first time parent or is he really not ready? How can we tell? He's a guy so he has no idea how to express his feelings even though he tries so hard (bless him!). I don't want to force him into anything at all but at the same time I don't want to put off having kids just because he's nervous. We could wait 5 years and he will still be nervous!
