I love the Indian names, but then I like ethnic names because almost no one else has them here. lol James and John are soooo common that no matter what she calls then, every kid in the neighborhood will answer.

I like Lily Rose but not James John. Then with the Indian names I like Raja Amma more. Why don't you keep a plain name for one then give the other an Indian one just because they are twins does not mean they have to have matching names. I like
Lily Rose and Raja Amma as a combination and it satisfies both worlds.

It depends on where she lives: if she lives in an English Speaking area, my suggestion is to give the children English first names and Indian middle names.

Lily Raja and John Raji, perhaps? I don't really like matchy first names for twins, but it may be cute to have their middle names somewhat similar. (I love the name Raja, as well!). I would avoid naming the twins Lily and James because those are the names of Harry Potter's parents, and I think it is wrroooooong to name siblings after famous lovers (it's just sick to name a brother and sister Romeo and Juliet, or Tristan and Isolde, or anything like that, imo).

How about a combination of them such as Raji James and Amma Rose. John and James are more common as 1st names and Lily and Rose are becoming quite popular. I am a fan of the Indian names.

I love Lily Rose, very cute. I love James but not combined with John. I don't like either of the Indian names sorry. I know a girl called Amma, and it has a funny meaning, something like Granny, maybe that's not right but I know that is has a strange meaning.

I like Lily Rose but not James John. Raji and Raja seem too similar too.

I really like Lily Rose. but you could use common names and India names by combining them.
so um I looked up some names on babynames.com..how about:
Lily Devika

or Nalin James. I thought Nalin would be a good choice cause it means lotus flower (which are water lilies) so yeah that would go well with the name lily. and yes Nalin is a boy name..

I like Lily Rose, but not James John (too plain). I think you should mix it up: use at least one Indian name. I also think it's neat when someone has an opposite-gender middle name:

Amma James
Ekram Rose
