Questions like what are my options if we are infertile, will my cycle being longer or shorter affect things, will this or that affect my baby's development, when's the best/most likely time to get pregnant, and what are signs of labor. These kinds of questions confuse me especially if these people know what the problem is by speaking with a doctor. Do doctors just not care enough to let you know what your options are, or what signs to look for? Why wouldn't you ask your doctor while you are there? And is it just me, or do most women not KNOW that the best thing to do when considering having a baby is to see a doctor, to make sure everything is ok with you and your partner, to start making lifestyle changes that will help you get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy. I understand the women who aren't planning on getting pregnant, but those who are trying? I'm trying not to be condescending, and I know that I've made my share of mistakes, i'm just wondering why it's not common sense.

I had what they call a "bloody show" this morning and since then I've continued to have tiny little bits of mucus come out which is tinged kinda tan like. Is this normal?

I currently on 100 mg of clomid days 5-9. I am now on cycle day 40. I took my OPK's but did not get a positive. (I think I tested too early) my temp did elevate. My period should have been here by now, but I have really stretchy clear cervical mucus (usually I am very dry before my period) and at times slight nausea. Could this mean I actually did get pregnant.Could anyone please let me know if they have experienced anything similar to this. I will be speaking with my doctor next week when he gets back from vacation.

My son is in K and not quite 6. He's only slept over at a gma's home and still often gets in bed with us. He has been invited to a mini-golf & sleep-over party. The boy is a fairly nice - and my son considers him his “best” friend, but the mom has done things to make me nervous.

e.g.: She is a problem parent to a teacher that is otherwise liked by parents. She lets her two kids- 4 y.o. and just turned 6 y.o. – to play in a (admittedly quiet) street un-supervised and allows them to go down the block to play without any contact with the parents of the home they are going to. She lied to another mom and said that my son had been to her house before for a sleep-over, when my son has never gone on a sleep-over! I thought she was very passive in stopping ugly behavior the one time we were over for a play-date. And I’ve never met the dad.

I told my son he could go golfing, but not sleep-over (& he is unhappy). I think I am comfortable with this, but what would you do?

Hi,
I'm writing a persuasive essay about Teenage Pregnancy. I believe that schools should teach teenagers about birth control to inform them, thus decreasing the amount of unwanted teenage pregnancy. I am writing a strong sentace describing the overwhelming load added when you add a baby into a teenager's life.

What words do you think fit the best? Please suggest some.

Adding a baby to the mix adds a whole new dimension of _________, _____, and __________.

I was thinking responsibility and cost maybe as 2 of them?

What do you think?

Thank you.

i know every kid develops at a different speed but how common is it for a 20month old to not talk. he can say mama and dada (but i question whether he realizes what he is saying) he also tries to say doggie but thats it. my son still has a pacifier, could this be slowing things down?? also, he goes to my mother-in-law's on the weekends who speaks only spanish to him. could this also have an effect on things?? is it possible that he is trying to figure out the diff. in the languages or something?? and do you know of anything i can do to help him start talking?

Ok. So I am 37 weeks, and had my app today. I am 1 cm dialated. which is not much, I have two questions.....

1. My dr. said because I have had two kids before, 1 cm is nothing. does this mean I have always been 1 cm dialated? or is it just that 1 cm is not alot. (i know it is not alot, but the way she said it made it sound like I have always been dialated to a 1.)

2. If I am dialated to a 1 deos that mean that the "mucus plug" is gone? I don't understand the whole Plug thing. I never saw a blood stain or anything..... ?

help thanks

I look on Y!A and I'm seeing questions about sex from kids that seem way too young: dating at 12, no steady boyfriend at 13, sex at 11......that's right, 11!!!! What has happened? Are these kids really growing up faster, or are we not shielding them properly as adults? Most studies show that people's brains aren't even fully developed at these ages, so what is happening?

throughout my pregnancy ( 27 weeks )my stomache has always gotten hard at times. But it has been hard for over a day straight. It has only gone soft about 3 times for about 5 minutes each time. Im feeling sooo tired and not wanting to do anything. Its really hard to walk and hurts. I went to the ER and had a few contractions but my cervix was closed. They didnt give me a sonigram or anything? Do you think there could be somehting wrong with my placenta or appendix or something else going on?
