Pregnancy & Parenting - 3 January 2007

My doctor gave me prenatal pills but I cant take them because they make me sick, and everytime I take them they come right back up. She is trying to find something that will actually stay down and something that I can tolerate. I still have severe nausea everyday and that is interferring with me taking the pills also as well as any other medicine. I cant even take Tylenol. What is something that I can eat or do to get all the vitamins I need that would be in the Prenatal pills that I cant take?
Some suggestions please!!!

My husband and myself have been married a year and after under going test he is sterile. We want to have a child ...So does any one know away to find sperm donations facilities or other fertility related matters? Possibly a website or hotline that would connect we with a facility in our area. We live in central florida. Thanks

I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant with my second child and over the past two days, I've had this strange feeling. Once or twice a day, I get a cramping feeling, usually on the left side. It's not very painful, just a little like right before my period. If I lay down on my left side, it goes away after about 15 minutes. I don't remember this happening the first time, but that was 7 years ago. I already know I have to go on bedrest at 24 weeks because my son was born 9 weeks early and they think the same will happen this time. In the meantime, my doctor has checked me with sonograms and bloodwork every week for the past three weeks since I found out and everything is perfect. I'll see him on Friday and I'll ask then, but wanted to see if it happened to others and if it's a sign this baby will come early too.

So. I've been having unprotected sex for almost 5 months. Well, in December I was supposed to have my period the 27th. but here it is Jan. 3 and still no period. I've noticed a change in the tenderness of my breats & slight moodswings. I've bought a HPT but I'm not sure how long I should wait before I take it so it would be more accurate. And I was also wondering what the chances are of being pregnant. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I beleive i was ovualting on the 28th ,and im pretty sure we had sex that day. now my nipples and breasts have been sore for the last 5 days, can that be a sign of pregnancy. i received my period on the 14th.

Hello everyone. I know this is a bit of a strange question but i guess this is what this site if for! Okay, Well my boyfriend and I do not use any kind of protection. I know, stupid girl. Well he is allergic to latex and my mom will not put me on birth control! I am seventeen years old and my last period was the 16th for the past 4 or 5 days i have been having severe nausea, heat flashes, and restlessness. This all usually occurs at night. Are these early signs of pregnancy or am i just coming down with a bug?

How long after birth does the umbilical cord fall off?

My baby's umbilical cord was oozing some yellow/brown puss yesterday. I've been cleaning it with alcohol like the hospital said, but I'm not sure if this is normal. Anyone know what it could be, and is my baby ok?

My daughter who is going to be 3 in a few weeks still takes the bottle at night. With juice in it. But watered down of course. I've tried taking it away cold turkey, it din't work, cuz I caved in. Stupid me! Anyway, I've tried telling her that she needs to give the bottle up cuz she's a big girl and not a baby anymore! Didn't work, she then says she's still a baby. My daughter is very stubborn and thick headed, I think the reason I haven't taken it away yet is because I live with my parents, and I don't think they'd appreciate hearing her scream all night for the bottle. I know it must be done soon, but I need advise. I don't want to ask the doctor, cuz I think that he think that she's been off the bottle. And I tried the taking her to the store bit to pick out a new sippy cup and give up the bottle, it just didn't work! I blame myself, for lack of will power to just say NO! HELP ME PLEASE!

Actually, I will clarify that I know that exercising during pregnancy is safe and most doctors will normally advice some exercise. My question is more, as a person who does not normally exercise at all, would it be safe for me to start walking more and maybe doing light weights for my arms while I'm pregnant (I am not yet)?

The reason why I think this may be a good thing is that I want to cut down the chances of developing gestational diabetes or pregnancy-related hypertension. I also may get me into better shape so that I can lose post-pregnancy weight faster.

I know you are not doctors but maybe someone here has previously questioned your doctor on this.

My last period was on Dec 1st, but it was spotting for only 2 days. My period before that was Nov 2nd. Can someone help me find out my due date? When should I schedule an appt with the doctor? Jeez, it is so hard to find a girl who likes and/or plays baseball, since baseball isn't the coolest thing now (it's football). It's also real tricky to find girls into math. Also ones into rhythm games (DDR, BeatMania, you know, that good stuff).

All I see are girls that are 80% slutty, and they care about themselves and their idiot friends.

They're also mean.

I like nice girls, and ones who tell the truth and follow the rules.
