FEVER CONTROL:
Various steps may reduce a fever and make your child more comfortable, and there are also some things to be avoided:
1. Offer cool liquids to drink frequently - this will not only directly cool the body by placing something cool in the stomach but will also prevent dehydration which itself can exacerbate a fever.
2. Keep the child lightly dressed - don't wrap him up. Keep the environment comfortable - neither too hot nor cold. Limit activity and encourage rest.
3. Give either Acetaminophen every 4 hours (Tylenol, Panadol, Liquiprin, Feverall, others) or Ibuprofen every 6 hours (Motrin, Advil, Nuprin, others). Ibuprofen costs more, the liquid tastes better, and it even works a bit faster/better, BUT it may also have more side effects (mostly in the category of stomach upset) than Acetaminophen.
4. NEVER use bathing, tub or sponge, as a means to bring down a fever. Doing this short-circuits the natural means of radiating heat from the body and can actually lead to a rapid RISE in temperature at the body core which could set off a febrile seizure.
5. NEVER use aspirin. This drug has been associated with increased side effects and with possible precipitation of Reyes Syndrome, a very serious disorder.

92.5 degrees is not hot. It is 4 degrees less than body temperature. You don't want it to be TOO cool because it will shock his system-and be sure to dry him off and dress him as soon as you get him out for the chill factor after getting wet. If you need to give him a bath, the idea is to have it lukewarm. You don't have to monitor the exact temperature.
I know when it is your own child, especially a small child or your first, a fever induces panic in us. But 100.7 is still a low grade fever, and no reason to worry about not giving a bath, or any other normal activities like eating and playing with toys, etc., as long as he feels up to it.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use a temp. that high but dont go for the 70 F - for him. Use a relaxing bath I took a bath when I had a cough and a soar throat. I used a maybe 85 F -- 87 F degrees bath. But I did not bathe in it I just relaxed myself. ( well I did bathe of course but not in a bath. I took a shower ) Just give him a relaxing temp. is what I can say... Sorry for the fever!

I think you can get it a little cooler for a 3 year old because they already be crankey ,You can use some green rubber alcohol to help reduce the fever and also the pain if any later .

I would just wipe him down with a cool wash cloth. If you feel you must give him a bath, use cool water NOT COLD. It will keep the fever down.

I wouldnt worry at 100, when it gets to 102 then I would, give him some tylonol for now, that will reduce it pretty quick..............if you do give him a bath LUKE WARM is good, NOT COLD or HOT, IN BETWEEN is good, cold could send his body into shock.

Give him some children's Motrin (lasts longer then Tylenol and works better in my opinion) and wipe him down with a room temperature wet rag.
