One of my friends had this problem throughout her pregnancy and ended up taking flinstones chewable vitamins....they were the only things she could keep down and she had to take them at night with a snack before bed. She also LIVED on carnation instant breakfast and I know that helped her a lot.
Don't worry...of course it is best to get a prenatal that works for you, but you will be fine if you need to supplement with something less strong. Sometimes (and I don't know if this is true or not) they say that the nausea and queasiness is a sign of a healthy and thriving pregnancy....so take heart in that and good luck!

I was sick all the way till delivery with my last. Something that really helped was to nibble on Ginger Snaps. Something in ginger naturally settles your stomach. Sucking on peppermints helps as well. I was having a hard time gaining any weight and the Doc. had me drink slim-fast as a supplement 6 times a day because it has lots of vitamins and minerals in it. My daughter in law was told to drink the Boost for mothers, to help her get more vitamins. Good luck. I know it is miserable know but nothing compares to the blessing of a precious baby.

It gets kind of expensive but for both my pregnancies I used Standard Process whole food supplements..you can only get them from a doctor or chiropractor..there is a protocol for pregnancy and you take a bunch of different supplements..i was never sick..could take a whole handful at a time because they are made from real food not synthetic stuff like uusual prenatal vits...pee is never yellow either because your body absorbs all the vitamins not just flushes them out of your system..hope this helps..

Eat a balanced diet and you don't *need* the prenatal vitamins. Eat a few tums for calcium and some of those vitamin c citrus drops. Eat bananas and red meat.
Follow the food pyramid and you will be ok. I don't know why prenatal vitamins have to be horse-pills. I can rarely even swallow them.

Ok I had this same problem and I can not remeber what they finally found me. But the pill was purple and it was like it had a gel in it. It had no smell at all. This is a perscrition not over the counter. Ask the dr about it I wish I could remember what it was though. I had to eat lemens alot or drink lemonaid to help out.

I didnt take my prenatal vitamins with my daughter and she's now two. Not only that but at birth she was healthy, weighed 7 lbs. She developed low iron later but with vitamin drops she quickly got that back up. You dont have to take them it better for the baby but my sister-in-law has four and has only taken it with this last one and she only weighed 5 lbs at birth but is healthy.

I used to crush mine up and put them in peanut butter with my first three kids. The fourth was a much bigger problem because I couldn't keep food down either. At that point I drank herbal enhanced teas. Your doctor needs to go over them with you and an herbalogist though.
