I quit cold turkey the day I found out I was pregnant! It's not easy, but it's for the health of your baby, which I think is MUCH more important than getting a fix off of a cigarette. I gave birth 10 days ago, and I'm not going to take up smoking again.

If you need to be weened away, try the patch. Also, when you get a craving, chew on something instead, like gum, or a straw, it helped me!

Congrats and good luck :)

Oh honey i was where you are at now. I'm not going to lie to you it's hard as hell and you'll need a lot of support.

try to stay away from people who smoke... after you're done eating instead of thinking about cigarettes or anything like that keep your hands busy and your mind off of it... it's a tough road ahead but will all be worth it at the end...

Just keep your mind off of it!!! and pick up crocheting or something... :)

Try doing things that you love. If you like to shop try it. Do whatever u need to to take your mind off of smoking. After a while, you'll forget about smoking Good Luck!!!!!!

PLEASE quit now! Don't wait until later- every day you smoke is hurting the baby. That may be the best way to quit-- do some research into the effects of smoking on the fetus-- it is eye-opening & may be your best motivation to stop.
Good luck.

slowly stop...if you quit all of a sudden it will kill the baby or atleast really harm it since its addicted now also.
make sure you're eating very healthy so that the lack of the addiction isn't too overwhelming.....
instead of a full cigarette just smoke half....and slowly decrease the amount of smoke breaks....
this is what my brothers gf had to do!
hope this helps!

just stop... your baby could be totally messed up if you smoke... something could be so wrong it could die at birth or before.. do you want that to happen... sometimes burth affects are BADDD! that should be enough to make you stop smoking... if not then you are a bad person and a bad mother

no you need to stop now. the first 8 weeks are the most vital to your baby's brain development. you need to quit right now or you baby will have mental cognitive issues, it might already. cold turkey baby.
