Hello everyone. I know this is a bit of a strange question but i guess this is what this site if for! Okay, Well my boyfriend and I do not use any kind of protection. I know, stupid girl. Well he is allergic to latex and my mom will not put me on birth control! I am seventeen years old and my last period was the 16th for the past 4 or 5 days i have been having severe nausea, heat flashes, and restlessness. This all usually occurs at night. Are these early signs of pregnancy or am i just coming down with a bug?

Well honey, I have had three children, and you do sound like you are pregnant, but it also sounds like the bug...I always got sick in the morning, until I got something to eat...Like crackers or some toast, But then all of a sudden it would come back later on in the day, I would go and get a pregnancy test, You can get one at the drug store, You'll know by tomorrow if your pregnant or not, Good luck

First of all, do you have proof that he's allergic to latex and not just telling you that so he won't have to wear a condom (probably not the case just making sure). If you're last period was the 16th then your most fertile days would be around the 30th or so which is when you would most likely have gotten pregnant if you were. However, the egg won't implant itself in you for a couple days so you shouldn't be experiencing any symptoms yet even if you were. It is probably just a bug, although to be safe some hpts can detect pregnancy 4-5 days before your period so it wouldn't be too much longer until you can test. (one more theory- if your last period was light you might take a test now)

There is a chance you could be pregnant. Why dont you go buy your own birth control. Go to the healthy department and get on birth control. You dont have to tell your parents. And there are condoms out there that is latex free. Some guys lie about being alergic to latex so they dont have to use a condom. There are also other forms of condoms that prevent pregnancy.

At your age I hope you are coming down with the flu. You can go to the pharmacy and by an OTC to test for pregnancy.

BTW, there are latex free condoms so don't let your boyfriend not use a condom in the future.

Think lady, do you want a baby?

Yes they are symptoms of pregnancy....my advice.. take two tests, one can not be enough to be sure.....if you are then tell your mom immediatly so you guys can talk about it! She cant be too upset if she refused to put you on birth control!. if you are not, you can just be scared and stressed about your mom and your bf....You dont need your moms permission to make an appointment for yourself! You just need to call in and make an appt....You should try talking to your mom again tell her exactly what is said in this question, Tell her you know having a baby is not her wish or yours either at this age!! and you are going to her as a last attempt to get on birth control with her help and advice......Are sure he is even allergic? Protection is not only to prevent babies it is also to prevent STD'S....I know it may be the last thing on your mind but if you have sex and have been having sex you really should get checked for yourself and him.......Women dont have symptoms as early as men do and by the time they have them it is too late the std takes it toll on your body and pelvis resulting in major damage to your uterus, pelvis, vaginal area to your ovaries....you can go from not being able to having babies to having cancer because we women dont have the symptoms until about 3-5 months after we've already catched the disease...now men cant piss, they shoot out stuff from their pee hole and they have other symptoms immediatly not women!! there is a common pre'cancerous cell that is caused from having sex at an early age not from any std!! I dont mean to scare you but I just think woman should be aware of this because if you dont get checked it can effect your life!!!

there are other condoms out there that are latex free. I am also allergic to latex, so I know there are other brands out there.
you can get on birth control yourself . go to your local health department and ask. it is confidential. if you are unable in your state to get birth control without a parent's concent, you need to not have sex unless you are ready to deal with and unplanned pregnancy or an STD.

It could be morning sickness or a bug-- they are unfortunately very similar!
If your mother won't let you get on birth control pills, and your bf is allergic to latex, look into other methods-- spermicide foams, non-latex condoms...

Well your mother doesn't have to be the one to put you on birth control just have a friend you trust take you to your local Health Department and legally they can't tell anyone you were ever there unless you give them your permission, and it could be a possibility that you are pregnant just go to a store nearby and buy a test... or go to your doctor and ask them to give you the test because they can't tell your parents either

There are non-latex condoms available....

This sounds like an early pregnancy, no way to know until you get to a clinic (or doctor) .... most of whom will keep the information confidential.

Good luck!

I would go to the drug store and buy a pregnancy test just to be sure but beware if it is still early and you are just a few weeks along it may not show up on a p-test
