I have had 3 children and have researched and spoken with my dr's about muths of induceing labor. Why do so many people still claim that sex, walking, teas, and other non sense induce labor? According to the dr and discovery health whom did a documentary called pregnancy for dummies said these are all myths and do NOT work. nothing will work unless the baby is ready to come and even if you did nothing, when its time its time. i tried all of those things hoping and nothing ever worked which is what got me to researching teh truth about it. People stop telling these poor exhausted moms that this stuff works cause all there going to do is wear themselves out trying all of it instead of resting up for the delivery when its time.

I just wondered if anybody else had the mirena and had experienced this: I bled every day (sometimes hard) for 2 1/2 months after having it put in. Then I quit and at the beginning of last month ( when i normally get a period) I barely spotted and so far this month ( yeah I know three days into it...) i spotted just a little last night, and that was it. I know the thing issupposed to stop your period after a year, but i have only had it about four months. i was supposed to see my doc on Friday but got rescheduled for 3 weeks and it's drivin me nuts.Any opinions or experience??? thanks.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and feel a yeast infection coming on. I had one about a month ago and my doctor told me to use Monistat 7 but....this time I'm dilated 2 CM. I was wondering if I could treat a yeast infection once I've started dilating? I could go into labor any time now.

My girlfriend has the flu and is currently taking antibiotics. Should she discontinue the pill for now and start taking it once she's done with the antibiotics or continue to take the pill anyway? Thanks

My 18 month old daughter still has a bottle, during the day and at night. At night I can't get her to drink straight water and she SCREAMS bloody murder if I take it away. I know I should let her cry but I live in apartment and I don't want someone calling CPS or something. I also have a 5 month old son and she steals his bottle when I give her a sippy cup. She doesn't like those either. She looks at me like its broken and tosses it... now what?????

Okay, so I am 38 weeks along with 2nd child. First child was delivered by c-section because of failure to progress. Incision in my uterus is horizontal in lower section, with double sutures. I went to the doctor today to discuss delivery options, I understand the hospital policy- they do not allow v-bac's. The way I want my delivery to go is as follows. I want my body to go into labor so that the baby is telling me he is ready to come out, I would then go to the hospital and have a c-section. Keep in mind the risk of rupture is 1 in 1000 deliveries. I am not asking to be aloud to go into hard labor, just the early stages. Because of my birth plan my doctor has now refused me as a patient. So I guess the big question is... Am I being unreasonable.

My first baby is due to be born the beginning of March. My husband and I are very very excited. My mother-in-law wants to go to the hospital and wait in the waiting room while I have the baby. I dont get along with her very well & we arnet close at all. She is annoying and bossy and I feel her being around with stress me out and upset me. However my own mother wants to come along too, and I want her too. Is it rude of me to ask my mother-in-law to wait at home? While I allow my mother to be at the hospital? My husband and my mother get along better than him and his own mother.

Okay I know i have asked a few questions already reguarding names..... BUT I think I have it narrowed down and need an opinion. First reaction to the name ect..... I had thought I was going to name my baby boy Lukas, BUT I came up with a Middle name and think I like it better..... What do you think???

We do alright financially but paying big bucks for a reversal (the vacectomy was cover thru insurance) or for artificial insemination is not possible. one idea was to have another man inseminate her naturally. we already have 2 but now she wants another.any advice?

ok so we had sex on hte 3 rd day of my period. i wa sno t bleddign and i had just started my cloid. i have been having some nausea when i wake up and gwhen i get ready to go to sleep, my breast are a little tender. so do you thinK my chances were high for me to get pg since i was on my period. we have been trying for 2 yrswithout any meds and now we have been trying fo rthe last 6 months with med s o help us get pg. please any advice will be greatly appericated

I've had a great pregnancy so far but these past few days I haven't been hungry. I practically have to force myself to eat sometimes. Today I had half of a half of a sandwich and was completely stuffed. I have also felt extremely thirsty and never have enough water or liquids. Has this happenned to anyone else is it normal? I plan on asking my doctor tomorrow but I do want to know how others dealt with this or something similar. Thanks in advance for your answers.

My baby got her 4 month shots yesterday morning, and was fussy, sleepy, and didn't eat as much as usual yesterday. I thought that the effects from those shots were only supposed to last 24 hours (till 10:30 am Wednesday) and she was acting fine all day, except that she still wasn't eating. I just took her rectal temperature, and it was 100.5. I called the dr, who said that if she is still not feeling well tomorrow, he will look at her.

Did your baby have negative reactions to the shots? How long did they last?

Although I want my child to learn at his own pace i would like to see my son potty trained sooner than later in life... as a single mother, diapers are quite expensive... My thoughts are to put him on the potty for less than a minute or so at a time, just to get him used to the hight, the coldness, etc... if I am not forcing him, might it work sooner?? If I am consistant, add a little love and comfort and maybe a reward, depending on his uninterest in it... serious only please... thanks :)
