My friend said her doctor did not and that they dont normally do it but all of my other friends said they definitely do it and they all had it done, 10+ girls I talked to. If they don't do an ultrasound, how do they know that that it is still alive? I know that is terrible to say but I have known many women that had a miscarriage before 8 weeks but did not know as they did not "pass" it and only found out through ultrasound.

whats the latest time that you have found out that you were pregnant. ive herd of not knowing until you were 5 months but want to know is, why was there such a delay? why didnt you find out sooner? without BC? was it because you had a regular period for 5 months? and what made you think that you were pregant?

Really frustrated. I lost the mucus plug 8 days ago; i haven't had any major contractions, but my heartburn has become really bad. My doctor said that once you lose your plug, usually the baby comes anywhere from 1 day up until 2 weeks after.
I am really, really frustrated. HELP!!

How many centimeters are in an inch? Im 18.5 weeks pregnant, and I want to know how they measure my baby. They are always talking about him being centimeters, and how he is supposed to be about 10.5 inches, but how many centimeters is that? Help me out. Thanks.

I am hoping that I can get some support on this. I have not been able to get pregnant for almost two years. For the most part, I try to be as optimistic as i can. but recently, my good friend told me she is pregnant. All the sudden I am hit with all of these conflicting emotions : jealousy, pain, sadness, etc. I am not daring to ruin her joy so i have not let her know of my struggles for a baby and that i am anything less that ecstatic for her. but this is wearing on me.. i find myself pulling away, esp. when she is showing me all of these pictures of how far along she is and talking about it 24/7. it also doesn't help because i suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks and that is how far along she is. it is painful to hear about how big the baby is, the heartbeat.. thinking about my past loss and my present struggle. i don't want to lose her or have her catch onto my discomfort.. what should i do?

I recently married she has never had a male figure in her life but she liked Evan when she first meet him. Now she throws fits everytime he enters the room or tells her to do something. Not only is she doing this to him but now she has started it with me. We have tried the couting, and the standing at the wall and sitting in a chair. We've gotten down on our knees at her eye level and tried talking with her, I've even tried rewarding her when she gets so many stickers for a week, but nothing is working. She has even gotten to the point where she will pee her pants cause she gets so upset. What do we do next?

My mom was supposed to be working the night shift and my dad was in london on buisness. I had my b/f over and we were watching tv and just hanging out.(nothing past 2nd base) We fell asleep on my bed with me in his arms. My mom came home, but didn't yell or anything. Now she won't talk to me and doesn't believe me that nothing happened. Why doesn't she trust me??
I am 16. She says that no boy can just be content with that if he hasn't already had sex with the girl. How can I get her to believe me??
I have never lied to her before. Is part of it because my brother began having sex at 16??

I don't feel I am showing at all. I am only 7 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. But, when I put my clothes on I look like I have a puge in my stomache. My regular clothes are a little snug I can no longer where belts. But, when I look at my stomache with no clothes on it really doesn't look different to me. Where you able to tell changes in your abdomen when it first started to change?

Last night me and my boyfriend had sex,we didnt use protection. This morning when i woke up i went and toke a shower and just layed down for a little bit.I went to the bathroom and i was bleeding.I dont know if this is associated with me being pregnant or if its normal. Im only 15 and this was the biggest mistake that i could have ever made, ive been with my boyfriend for almost 8 months now and i love him more than i have ever loved anyone in my LIFE. We talked about what would happen if i do get pregnant and he said he would be there for me, and that he would take care of me and our baby. But it is so easy to change your mind and walk out since hes not the one with the baby. i want to get the morning after pill but im not old enough to get it without a parent being present, i cant tell my father, hes my WORST nightmare when it comes to things like this. How can i get "the morning after pill" without an adults super vision? What is the first thing i should do if i am pregnant?plz hlp.

I've had a crush on this guy for 2-3 months now. In October, he started being extremely nice to me, like out of his way nice, but he's a really sweet person, and he's talked to me (like 3 times before). He'd say hi to me and ask my random stuff. I didn't act the interested, and I sort of flirted with my guy friend in front of him. The next week, he stopped being that nice, and a friend of his said he pointed at my seat once and said I like her. The next day, someone told a friend of his I like him, and I'm sure my crush found out. When I added him as a friend on myspace, his friend who found out I like him left a comment saying you two should go out, and he responded by saying I think so too. I mean, he made that comment a couple of days before he knew I had a myspace, and I'm afraid he might have said it as a joke. But my friends say he's extremely nice, and someone told me he wanted me to see it and make a move. Now, he barely talks to me anymore, but he stares at me a lot.

I am 38 Weeks, On Saturday I went to the hospital with contractions, and cramping. On Thursday when the dr. did a cervical exam, she loosened my mucus plug, so that is gone. last night I was having contractions 8-10 minutes apart and this morning they were gone. I am dialated to a 3 and 70 % effaced with the head in a -2 position . I just want to know if there is anything i can do besides castor oil, already tried it and it didnt help. Thanks.

My ex-husband left and our son is 3-1/2 yrs old. Everyone keeps saying that I should go out and find a good dad for him. Is it an apsolute need for a young boy to have a father figure in the home? I truely do not feel like I want to deal with having a man in my home again for a while, I just want to get on with my life, and raise my son the best with out a stupid guy trying to tell me how to do things.
