For my son's birthday, we had a photo scavanger hunt and a sleepover/movies/pizza night.

For the scavanger hunt, you split into two teams and each team has the same list of items to find, a digital camera and a time limit. Have your mom make up the list so that you and you friends don't know what you'll be hunting until it's time to go! (we did things like, signs, different foods, animals, sports stuff (boy stuff!), You'll need a couple adults to be the drivers (and we took the pictures - because one rule was that every one from the team had to be in every picture!). So we had four adults - two for each car. It was a LOT of fun, and then we put all the pictures onto my laptop and played them on the wall with our projector. You can just show the pictures on the computer screen if you don't have a projector.

My birthday is in Feb. and I am turning 12 too, so i just sugest the usual stuff popcorn, chips, soda stuff like that, but since its cold in Feb. I think you should do what I am going to do this year which is have a family party on my birthday, than in May or so have a birthday party and have a BBQ outside. If you want to stick with the same date, I suggest just some vollyball with balloons, some one on one wrestling (thats one of the things I did) , monkey in the middle. Even though we're getting older we still enjoy those types of things. Oh and one last thing, have a ton of candy, and goodybags, so people can actually think the party was good. BUT one peice of advice do NOT let anyone into your room, because they will trash it, but if its all girls than its safe but otherwise take my word for it. :) Good Luck with your partyy. Happy Birthday in 2 months! :)

My daughter will be 12 in July, so I can tell you what she likes. If it were her party she would want to invite her friends over for a sleepover. This year she asked that I go to the dollar store and pick up a bunch of cheap makeup and nailpolish so that they can go crazy with makeovers. She mentioned a bowling party too, but this year I think I am going to suprise her with taking her and two of her closest friends to a nearby indoor water park before the sleepover.

Try to think of some stuff to put in little sovenier bags. If you have your parents go to oriental trading company online they have picture frame kits that you can decorate. Maybe take some picutures of each person at your party so they can put them in the finished frame.

a bowling party, a sleepover party, a pizza party, a movie party, a rollerblading or ice skating party. What are your favorite things to do? I would center it around something you really like...and have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY !! One more and you'll officially be a teenager!
