We have a 8 month old son which we found out the sex at 18 weeks. We really wanted to know which we were having since it was our first and we wanted some of te basics. Plus it helped making it more real knowing we were having a son. I think with the next one it would be cool to wait til delivery to know the sex. I just wondered if those that have had it both ways have any insights on which they liked better. Thanks

My three year old daughter flops herself on the ground or floor and refuses to get up when I am trying to get her to go where I need her to go. It is driving me crazy. I am 7 months pregnant and cannot pick her up or wrestle with her. My instinct is to just drag her so she gets the idea that not moving won't work but I am afraid of how other people would react to that. Any advice?

I should have started my period by now, its usually right on time each month. I've been feeling bloating, light cramping on and off, white discharge every so often, utterly exhausted, moody, and eating CONSTANTLY!

I am a full-time teacher, mother & wife. Just wondering if anyone had tips on how to handle cooking meals w/ such a busy life. I want my children to be raised on home cooked meals-- but it is definitely a challenge. Any tips??

He has set the situation so that you can prevent the medication induced abortion of an embryo within a young woman or the euthanasia of Koko (the sign language gorilla http://www.koko.org/ ).

That is all you know. And you have to act.

Yes, that means that you don't know that the woman chose to be there anymore than Koko did. Therefore, I reject any answer that simply assumes she is there of her own accord, because that is unclear.

THIS IS A REVISION OF THE QUESTION.

Has anyone heard of babygendermentor.com? It is a blood test that checks for male/female DNA/RNA in the mothers blood as early as 5 weeks into pregnancy. It costs $275 ($25 non-refundable kit & $250 lab fees) It also offers a full refund if the results are incorrect - the site claims the test is 99.9% accurate because it analyzes DNA / RNA. If only female DNA is present, baby must be a girl, and if both female and male are present it is a boy. Please give me any opinions and what you may know, I am really interested in determining sex early and I am only 9 weeks along.

Just curious to see what other parents are feeding their baby @ 9 months.

Right now my baby eats (per day):

22oz of milk
2oz of juice
1 jar of fruit
1 jar of vegetable or dinner (ex. turkey & rice dinner)
6 tbls of rice cereal

* I know that every baby is different-- just curious to see what other parents are doing:)

my friend is 14 years old. and she still sleeps in her moms bed. i asked her why and she said, "for 1 i dont like sleeping by myself and for 2 i always wake up in the middle of the night unless i am with her." they recently moved next door to me and they r sleeping on the couch and love seat. and she was sleeping in the floor right next to the couch where her mom was sleeping. i guess today or tomorrow she is getting bunkbeds to sleep in "by herself"

how do i encourage her that it is ok to sleep by her self. i want to tell her to grow up but i dont want to be rude. please help! and last night she went home at like 1 am cuz she said she couldnt sleep. please help me find a way to tell her that she needs to grow up with out being rude?

Give any advice you have! i will give u 10 points.

My friend is 18 weeks pregnant, and had a miscarriage a few days ago. It kind of peaked my curiousity, but I do not want to pry, or ask any questions that could upset her because she is devestated. But I was sitting and wondering... what happens when you miscarry late like that? Thanks

My 2 year old daughter always escapes her bedroom in the middle of the night. We have a childproof doorknob thingy on the inside of her room, but she gets by that. We think it's cruel to have a lock on her door. And no, a gate will not work...we have already tried it!

Ok- my parents and many others are always saying that I cannot do things that they could because "it was safer when I was a kid"
Ok-
the murder rate is no higher than 40 years ago.
Cars have gotten SAFER, not more dangerous (seatbelts werent around back then)
yes teen pregnancy is up from back then, but it has gone down for the past 5 years straight.
Drugs and smoking are LESS of a problem. (hippies=druggies)
Rapes, abductions, etc. have not increased, only the media coverage has.

Look at statistics. This is NOT a card that parents sohuld be playing.
What do you think/give some other reasons.
