Yes, sure. It is a nice name. Reminds me of the book: A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. =)

But Violet is really cute.

no not really as a first name I find at times it makes a good middle name. Yet I heard of a mother who named her daughter Violet Athena and it sounds pretty good. I guess it's how you use it.

Nooooo!!! Don't do that to your daughter. My mom named me Violet and I thank God she also gave me a middle name. Never have I used my first name.

I love it. Its a cute name! If you are naming a child that you should name it Violet Rae. (Or at least a one syllable middle name)

Yes love it, almost named our daughter Violet, but we changed our minds at last minute as my husband wasn't crazy about it.

Honestly, violets are beautiful flowers, but for someone's name NO! I soundss like a fuddy dud name, a wicked witch's name, a very eldery woman's name, someone rejected by society. If you have a choice, think of something else.

My opinion: Sounds like a grandmother's name.

Quit naming your kids these names from the 1800's and get into the twenty-first century!
