What about a c-section? My insurance covers everything except for delivery and I'm just curious of what it costs.

Thank You

I currently have two little guys--one 12 months & one 3 years--of my own, and I am considering taking on watching my friend's little boy who is 15 months (I've been watching him all week). I am concerned about this taking a lot of time away from my kids, especially the three-year-old, who really needs a lot of direction right now. But it IS nice to have the extra money from babysitting, and I want to provide a secure place for this little guy whose parents are divorcing and has been passed around from place to place recently. I feel very sorry for him, and I know I would be a good daycare situation for him. His mom also doesn't have a lot of money and I wouldn't charge her as much as a local daycare would. My kids seem to get along pretty well with him, except that my three-year-old gets more hyper, and my one-year-old seems a whole lot more clingy. And, sometimes having them all REALLY stresses me out! What should I do?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I have seen that women should take anywhere from 21mg to 50mgs a day. It sounds like a large range.
How much iron should a pregnant woman take per day?

My daughter refuses to sleep in her crib. I have let her scream for an hour. Checking on her of course. I nurse her and she thinks she has to be close to me at all times. I let her fall asleep with me and then I lay her in her bed but as soon as she hits her bed she wakes up and screams. I have tryed sitting next to her and touching her with my hand but she just stands up and screams mom mom! If you have any suggestions please let me know the secrets! I have alsodone the bath massage and then nurse her to sleep but when she hits that bed like I said she pops those little eyes open and it is over from there.

I got pregnancy at 16 so it haven't been easy but I really love my daughter and I will do anything to raise her good life and displine her. When my mom raise me that it hasn't been easy either because she suffer mental illness and she tried her best to raise me with a lot of love but sometime she don't raise me like she should because she was more like my friend than parent, she never punish me or anything, spoil a lot. I am deaf too but I can hear some and speak well. I behave better when im around with my dad than my mom. Now i notice my daughter behave better around with my dad than she is with me. I tried to keep her fun like taking her to park, chunk e cheese, i tried my best to teach her more education and give her love. I was behind with everything so my step mom had to teach me with manner and displine, clean up after myself when i was 7. I do teach my daughter to displine and clean up and good manner and let her have fun. But i feel like something is missing, Any advice to add

I ALREADY have alot of exotic piercings. I did not have them with my son 7 years ago so I'm not sure if I need to take them out or not. The doctor has seen them and has NOT told me to remove them. I know I will have to remove the ones in my nips if I choose to breastfeed. Its the one in my clit I'm not so sure about. I see no reason to take it out until I go into labor. For anyone with piercings, did you take them out during pregnancy?

This is a SERIOUS QUESTION I'm not looking for any perverted answers.

My milk supply is VERY LOW (I just quit taking the mini pill because of this) and I want to increase my supply. In the meantime, we've been supplementing with formula for most of his feedings.

I took a dose of this last night and without thinking about it started to breast feed him this morning (for 1-2 minutes when I remembered taking the medicine). Will this hurt him? How long does it take for this to get out of my system before it's safe to continue breast feeding him again?

My daughter who is now 8 months old was not ready for soild food for a realy LONG time. She still hardly eats but drinks 35 oz of formula. I tried reducing her formula intake but she still will not eat much. She still does not eat any type of finger food either.
Is this normal with some babies ??
Did any other moms have the same problem ?

I am probably about 2 months preg, and about a month ago, before I took any preg tests (I thought I just had the flu) I took 2 hot baths. How common is it to lose a baby to a hot bath? What else could happen to him/her? Brain damage? Am I just paranoid?
Going to obgyn tomorrow, so I will ask him same thing. I feel like a dork, but I just gotta ask.

my husband is against santa b/c he feels he detracts from the real reason for the season...the birth of christ.
now, i feel that we can encompass everything into the holiday and it's all in how we raise our son. he's only 3 months so we still have some time to get the details ironed out.

i feel that we can take him to church and bake jesus a birthday cake and we can have santa come, but not idolize him.

is there anything you do to remind yourself and your family of the real reason for the season that we can adopt into our christmas traditions???

thanks!

I called my grandma on Christmas day to tell her that my husband and I are expecting our first baby after 5 years of marriage, and this will be her first great grandchild. Before I could tell her she announced that my 21 year old cousin is 6 weeks pregnant by her boyfriend of a year.

I felt crushed and I let her know she will have two great grand children now. My uncle is upset with my cousin since it was a “surprise” but now the rest of the family is even more excited because they got engaged at Christmas too.

I didn’t want the spotlight, but my grandma lives out of state and I just got a “Congrats, I’ll tell everyone for you” like my baby news means nothing now. I am happy for my cousin and I really hope the baby gives her more direction in her life as she refuses to work, drinks excessively and parties a lot.

I guess I just thought the family would be happy for me giving my situation (married, stable, mature) and my baby was 100% planned and wanted.

Am I selfish?

She doesn't do this with liquids and sweets. She's relying on liquids (especially PediaSure) to make her full. If you're going through something like this, what did you do or are doing. Thanks!!
