It is actually very okay and normal. They may get over it as they grow or they never may. Its nothing very bad. Many kids do different things when they cry. I had a family friend whose kid used to pee in his pants every time he cried. He is over that now and doesnt do it anymore. If the child is puking, theres nothing to worry about. He or she might eventually get over it or never get over it but its ok. If you want more advice, you should talk to your doctor.

It's not abnormal for a child to puke when they are crying uncontrollably. It's certainly not fun for either the child or the person who has to clean it up.

How old is the child? Is it a tantrum? How do you respond to it?

If the child is old enough, you can teach them some deep breathing techniques. It worked for my daughter when she was 2 1/2 and she still uses her "deep yoga breathes" when she is upset.

It can happen. Crying is somewhat of a shock to the system. However it usually happens if they have just eaten...and maybe more than they should have.

If it has been a few hours sense they ate anything then I would be concerned. See if they have a temp. If so take them to the ER or your doctor. Do not wait.

If no temp then you may keep a close eye on them and if they continue to act ill then take them in.

Yes, that's normal. My 3 year old daughter has this issue when she gets very upset. We discussed this with her doctor and were told it's natural and she will grow out of it. We know the signs and have let her caregivers know what to watch for and do when she gets like that to simply calm her down.

Some children do this... it is not a preferred response to overstimulation, but it does happen. Some children can not regulate their crying, and when they have lost complete control, they can throw up from the force of crying.

perfectly ok. Sometimes kiddos get so upset that it makes them gag a bit. Just be sure that it's not a lot of puke..

Some times some kids get so upset they make themselves sick. My son use to cry so hard he would pass out. You can usually tell when they are going to get that upset, try to keep him calm when he gets like that.

I'm 19 and if I get worked up enough while crying I'll throw up.

My nephew will get extremely upset, cry and throw up....it's perfectly normal.

if they get upset enough, absolutely. but if your child is getting that upset on a regular basis i would most definately change something. try and calm the kid down before they get to the point of throwing up.

my 3 year old girl does the same, if she crys for a longer period, she gets sick. but she also has acid reflux, so the doctor says that is a major reason why.
