I am 13wks. I have stopped drinking alcohol and smoking the occasional joint but have taken a single pill maybe three times. Any mothers have expereince with this?

I was taking Lortab 10/650 ...... I had to stop abruptly ! A girl I knew took Lortab 7.5 and her babys mentally challenged......

I have had to come off of alcohol and pot myself when I found out I was pregnant. The first three months are your baby's formative weeks. The brain develops and so does the heart. You should really not be taking anything (even Vicodin). It was very hard to quit my usual lifestyle and it took a good month or so for me to start to feel like my body was cleansed. I wouldn't worry about your baby's health unless you continue to take the Vicodin. Talk with your doctor to find out what is safe and what is unsafe to take during your pregnancy.

Well its not healthy for a mother in my opinion to smoke anything or drink alcohol while your pregnant. And no you should not be taking Viciodin while your pregnant because it is very harmful for the baby. Talk to your doctor though if you dont believe me.

If your doctor did not give the Vicodin to you or gave it to you before you were pregnant you need to knock it off! I cannot remember for sure (it's been 4 yrs) but I had my wisdom teeth removed while pregnant and I *think* they gave me Tylenol 3's instead of Vicodin for pain.
You have to think about that innocent person you are growing inside of you.

Vicodin's a pain killer, right?
It's not very smart to take that while you're pregnant.
In fact, I'd venture to say it would be safer to smoke a joint than to take Vicodin while pregnant.
Please seek help.

What ever you do to you, you are doing to your baby! Stop doing drugs! We see people like you on Jerry Springer. Knock it off and grow up! If you have any hopes of rasing your child the best you can, you need to start now. You don't want to have any regrets.

You should not take any medication for fun or for illness without first discussing it with your OB. There is a list of "generally considered safe" drugs and Vicoden is not on it.

Um...I wouldn't suggest it AT ALL. I have a horrible ear infection and would LOVE some vocodin right now, but I wouldn't even consider it for the safety of my baby. But that's just me!

Maybe it is time for AA or NA?
Talk to your doctor. Narcotics are obviously very bad for the developign fetus. Time to take action, your little baby is depending on you, Mom!
