I am considering this name for my third child (Tara & Bryce are the others) if it is a girl. I just want to see how this name comes across to others.

Best Scenerio: a bright, sunny child of hippies
Worst Scenerio: a stripper or porn star
I would suggest a compromise: keep one, or make it mysterious:
Summer Caelus (Caelus is Latin for sky)
Skylar Aestas (Aestas is Latin for Summer)
Azzurra (Italian) color of the serene sky
Summer Serena

Summer is a beautiful choice for a girl but Skye makes the name kind of corney. Please feel free to use Summer but don't pair it with Skye. I agree with the others that it sounds really "hippy". I think Summer, Tara, and Bryce sound good together , just ditch the groovy middle name, lol.

Makes me think-Wow! Hippie, Flower child parents! I don't like Summer or Skye as a first name but I think Skye makes a nice middle name. How about Rebecca Skye?

A child with pretty lame and dorky parents. It's a child, it's not a pet.
Stop trying to be so hip and cool and drawing attention to yourself from your childs name; I know it's the cool hippy thing to do in hollywood, but dont' be like them.
Tara and Bryce are kind of lame but at least they're normal so go for it. Don't pick a name that the child will have to end up explaining to their friends that her parents really arent' weird, and keep them from being beat up. Give me a break.

I absolutely love it. I was considering Winter Skye and Autumn Skye so I guess I am partial. I think if a beautiful little girl with any of those names. I just really like them.

It makes me think of a Porn star or pop singer..
Yea those people are right about poor kids having unfortunate names, at my school the whole "Stinky crew" had weird names, well lots of them so beware!!!
Think of it like this ok... If shes hot or good looking she'll be fine in school, if not well her name definitely will not help the situation....
Summer Skye makes me think of a really hot blonde girl so if you have some good genes go for it!

I think of the TV show Dharma and Greg... she would be one of Dharma's wandering friends and Tara and Bryce would be the serious ones that never understand her.

In my honest opinion, "Summer Skye" sounds like the poor child has hippy/granola parents. I'd expect her to have unwashed hair, hand me down clothes and tofu sandwiches for lunch.
I'm not trying to offend, but that is what immediately comes to mind.

I like the name Summer . . . but when you put it with Skye, it makes me wonder what the parents were smoking when they named the child.
