my fiance has been away for awhile and when he got home the first thing we did was "made love". Now my mother is telling me that since he was away for such a while and doesn't do drugs or have caffeine and he ate really healthy. then now he is really fertile. Is this true and could i be pregnant. Yah i know this is a pretty dumb ? but i have never heard of anything like it, plus i have a two year old and i am just not ready can some one please answer my question. Thanks

If you don't want to get pregnant, then you have to use protection. Every time, without fail.
Your fiance's fertility depends on a lot of things including genetics, and how tight his underwear are! I've never heard of diet having an effect on sperm count.

Any time you have unprotected sex you could get pregnant. It has little to do with his habits. It is always possible that he could be more fertile than at other times but it also depends upon where you were in your cycle. You are not always at risk of pregnancy. I doubt any doctor will tell you when that is because every woman is different.
Get a test to be sure. Only way to know.

Yes, diet, exercise and even abstinence has an effect on fertility and sperm count. Been there with 16 years of infertility. But let's not forget that ANYTIME you have sex, you can get pregnant. If you do not want another child right now, please be proactive and use protection of some kind.

The factors that your mother mentioned will not make your husband more fertile. Ever. Virile maybe, but not fertile.
You could likely be pregnant simply because you had sex, regardless of his health or physical condition.
You would actually be the "fertile" one. All that matters, as far as preganancy goes, is whether or not sperm hit egg.

i dont really know wether he would be more fertile because of being away for a while, but i do know that you can get pregnant from having sex anytime, especially if it was unprotected sex. so yes you could be pregnant esp if you did not use any protection

If you have sex (even with the pill, patch or whatever) you CAN GET PREGNANT! It doesn't matter how healthy he was or anything.

Yes, he could have high sperm count, but if you aren't ready for another one as you said, then use protection.
